Suggestions & Requests / Re: New "brick": Portal

Well, the point of a see-through portal is not to see the portal itself, but to see the action on the other side.

Eh, maybe.  But it wouldn't be practical to take screenshot after screenshot.  See-through portals just aren't practical yet.

Well, it is possible to attach the player's camera to the other end of the portal, take a screenshot, and then use the screenshot like a brick decal.  But I don't think it can be done and still look very professional.

The only thing possible would be a very cheap imitation wherein the player's camera is mounted to a brick at the connected portal.

Wow, lame.  First of all, it would be the player datablock ::onCollision, because it's the player colliding with the brick.  Second, collision portal stuff is outdated.  I would prefer a key system.  You walk up to a portal, 'insert' your key, and it opens a menu of all the available portals.  Then you could choose where you want to go.  Some portals could be restricted to admins/super admins only.

I get that message if there's an error in my code somewhere.  Check your console.  I just fix the error and it's good to go from there.

You may call it optimization, but I say   F U C K   code without brackets.

Why do you want to do that?

Actually, the ' == 1' part is not required for a binary answer.  A client either is or isn't a Super Admin, making the answer either 1 or 0.  So you can really just use the code:

if(%client.isSuperAdmin)
{
     <insert code here>
}

As for your second question, you'd have to know what you wanted the string to be.  You can't just say if(%dudename.isWord), lol.

It would be a much better weapon if it worked like the spear, with the minifig as the projectile.  So when you equip the weapon, you'd be holding the minifig up like the spear and then throw it.  The explosion is way to big and lasts to long, and also the pink lighting is kinda lame.  I recommend that there be no explosion at all, and that the minifig only destroy the few bricks around where it impacts.  That'd be kickass.

You can make a new model, there would just be quite a bit of work involved, lol.

Coming to a complete stop just before hitting would be hot.  Take out the slowing down part.  Just go full speed until a tad bit before the hookshot point.

There was nothing to remember, I've been renaming the files since the first release, lol.

I'd love to know how you're coming up with your version numbers, lol.

Also, the slowing down-ness doesn't work very well.  Jet straight up and fire the hookshot straight down.  It still kills you.

It'd be awesome to see some advance scripting here than can detect if the path to the hookshot point is blocked.  There are lots of times when I hookshot to one place and then hookshot in an opposite direction.  I end up dead after slamming into a wall, or the bed, etc.
