Honestly might just be easier to outright re-do the game from scratch. Preferably on an engine that's not Torque, and not janky as hell. Like other people have said Badspot sure as stuff won't do it, he's been AWOL for months and hasn't cared about this game in years.

i uninstalled the game a long time ago but the forum is still in my bookmarks so it just autofills whenever i type F in the chrome bar
there's no escape...

Also uninstalled BL itself but still do occasionally check the forums out of some bored, morbid curiosity.
Also LOL how the forum software is warning me I'm necroing as though the whole loving forum isn't a necro already.

Mod support is what games like these live or die on. Brickadia is not going anywhere without mod support. This is not subjective opinion, this is fact. Blockland and Garry's mod have only lived as long as they did because they had good mod support. You're not gonna re-write reality with snarky comments. If you actually are a shill for Brickadia like Nigel said earlier, then you need to tell your superiors what I said. Without mod support, Brickadia is forgetED.

Which is basically just dying of old age.

I feel like after you reach a certain threshold of old age any way you die, short of anything violent or drug-related is technically "dying of old age". I think it's entirely possible for your body to just shut down at 88 or whatever but seriously it could be anything.

As for me, I'm just so. god. damn. tired.

Have them disabled by default for the client, and disabled by default for default maps like Bedroom, Kitchen, Slopes, etc.

Yeah but that's the kind of decision making process someone with their head not up their ass (i.e. not badspot) would have done - or just axe the shaders entirely, they sucked, and I dont think anyone even uses them regularly.

And on the subject of the thread I'm in camp "Blockland needs a decompilation/port/fork/whatever." - but the thing is unless that decompilation works perfectly with all the existing mods it's gonna be pretty pointless. I don't think any of the people making mods - not to mention all the modmakers who quit years ago - are gonna have much fun tweaking everything they ever put out to and then re-hosting it.

A bigger problem is there's kinda nowhere for any sort of community to congregate - forums are locked, steam forums are in a similar state to this one of constant "bl is dead", and forget discords and forget anyone who suggests them - those are even worse.

Like the other guy said, nostalgia and the fact that there's literally nothing else like it.
Honestly removing maps was the stupidest idea badspot had and I wonder exactly what was going through his head. Did he seriously think that it wouldn't kill blockland or what?
