I was saying that in response to the person who thought gas prices would go down much when the barrel prices went down.

Watch the prices hit $6/gallon sometime next year.
Fixed :D

OK, first off, what does it mean when some one just says "This" after quoting a post? I see that a lot on the facepunch forums and I really can't figure out what it means. Is it like QFT?

As for the world just waltzing along it's merry way if the American economy collapses...ha ha ha.

300 million consumers, millions of businesses and crucial technology centers are all located in or a part of the US. That's why they call it a "Global Economy". The current financial crCIA is a perfect example of this; a few risky loans default in America and banks across the world go to stuff.

I'm not saying that America is the "best/most powerful" economic power in the world, there are several other countries that could qualify for that. However, the loss of America would be a substantial blow to the world.

I was surprised when I saw somebody like Muffinmix say that, he strikes me as intelligent. As for "I'm not saying that America is the "best/most powerful" economic power in the world...", it really depends what you mean. If you mean we don't have the strongest economy, then yes, it is total stuff. If you mean we don't have the biggest influence on the world's economy, then I'd have to disagree, but I could be wrong.

This.
You mean, can't live without Americans?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA

No, no sorry, but everything will keep turning once the 500billion debt comes down from the skies and completely obliterates the US' economy. Canada will survive pretty easily, we'll just export/import across the pond, which by the way is allot economically better anyways. Everyone else across the pond is already doing just fine without much help from the US.

Do you seriously believe this?

Yeah, they all would lvoe to see us get butthurt, but thanks to the US dollar being the basis for all capitalism in the world, if we fall, everyone else follows soon after. Enjoy your dependency on us world. :cookieMonster:

I doubt that :o
It was an unreliable source, but believable to me. It just means a gas station decided to gouge.

Agreed. A report on the telly stated that the highest price to date found in the US was $5.40 around a small town just north of LA, CA.
yay reports on tellys. Highest gas is my state, look it up (Georgia).

My state has the higher gas prices than anywhere in America, except Hawaii and Alaska. The lowest I've seen this year was around $3.80, its usually around $4.20, and the highest was $8.80

If you were 16 you'd:

- not like Green Day
- type with decent spelling and grammar
- not say "YAYAYAY"
- not care as much about your birthday. I'm 14 and I hardly noticed my last birthday.

:(
