I'd go with the 6850 over the 460 since it is quite a bit cheaper and seems to be on par performance wise. That said, can your current video card not do the job? The 5850 is by no means bad (just a little old at this point) and it would be silly to drop the money on something you don't actually need.My graphics card seems to be able to handle most things I throw at it but some of the new direct x 11 games that are coming out are a bit too much for it. I can play the games, but not at max settings which I want to be able to.
Just buy a crowbar and some glasses for around $30 and you can pretend you're Gordon Freeman when you break into the store and steal a $300 graphics card. マホ~I'd rather not take idiotic advice from someone I hate, thank you.

I just got the card today and installed it, I love it. Occasionally one of the fans makes a rattling noise which worries me but most of the time it doesn't. I laso got a new modem today because my other one broke last Thursday, I've had no internet until now.
