The 5850 is better than the 460. Not by a whole lot but it is better.

oh look one of the reviews:
Pros: Excellent video card runs Dragon Age 2/Origins very smooth same with my other games that I have. Games running at 40-60 fps on high settings. Excellent cooling idles at mid 30'sc and under load from DA2 55c.

Cons: A little loud in my Cosmos 1000 under load but that's expected.

I'd go with the 6850 over the 460 since it is quite a bit cheaper and seems to be on par performance wise. That said, can your current video card not do the job? The 5850 is by no means bad (just a little old at this point) and it would be silly to drop the money on something you don't actually need.

My graphics card seems to be able to handle most things I throw at it but some of the new direct x 11 games that are coming out are a bit too much for it. I can play the games, but not at max settings which I want to be able to.

Just buy a crowbar and some glasses for around $30 and you can pretend you're Gordon Freeman when you break into the store and steal a $300 graphics card. マホ～

Off Topic / Got new graphics gtx 560ti

So yeah, I currently have a Radeon 5850 and want to upgrade. I'm looking at the 6850 or the 460 but other suggestion are welcome. As I said in the title I've set an about $200 dollar limit for myself. I mostly want this to be able to play Dragon Age 2 on max settings and the high res texture pack without crashing in big battles.
I need some advice on what to get, thanks.

I just got the card today and installed it, I love it. Occasionally one of the fans makes a rattling noise which worries me but most of the time it doesn't. I laso got a new modem today because my other one broke last Thursday, I've had no internet until now.

I don't like the way apple makes stuff, none of it feels comfortable to use. I died a little inside when Todd Howard said they were trying to design the UI of Skyrim as if "apple made a video game." I really hope opening my inventory in Skyrim won't be like iTunes.

Argh, Rift is nothing like wow, any of the elements people claim to be the same exist in all mmorpg's. Te class system is completely different and really cool.

I kept restarting the game to play a different way and I got myself bored of the first part of the game. I'm taking a little break so that I c an actually play through it.

There's a new patch out, not sure when it was released.

Anyone know where I could watch season 5 online? I used netflix for the other 4 but 5 isn't available for watching instantly yet.
