Atheism is a lack of a belief, it is not a belief.

A good number of Atheists believe there is no God. Really, I'd even say most. It is hard to not take any stance on an issue when you are well aware of it, especially something as personal as spirituality. It seems to me a number of folks just hide behind the given definition because claims of disbelief are extremely difficult - if not impossible - to even begin proving, so by claiming one simply lacks a belief, the burden of proof shifts. :/

Not specifically you, by the way; I've always seen you assert that part of the definition and your constancy is well respected.

Obama would veto it even if it got passed down to congress. The people in charge of this don't even know anything about the internet. Mr. Scott or whatever even said he is not fond of technology what so ever.

If you remove the "O" and the last "A" in Obama, you get BAM. Then, if you replace the "B" with an "I", the "A" with an "L", and the "M" with a "T", you get "ilt"! And then, if you rearrange the "l" and the "T", add "er" at the end, and "H" at the beginning - get this - it spells Riddler.

Coincidence? I think not.

I get up anywhere between 5:30-6:30am depending on how much time I need.
I catch the bus at about 6:50-7:00am. School starts at I think 7:20am, and I get out at 1:59pm

It's not so much that I really hate being called a "he", it's more like after all the effort I put into proving myself, people still like to pretend that there's a reason to doubt.

There is always reason to doubt, my dear! Why, when you see people on the street, do you just freely believe whatever gender they happen to say they are? Of course not! You devout your life to experimenting on and prodding at the person to discover the answer, reaching any bound so you may know what is truth! You spend your life's energy researching so that you may one day stand up and pronounce "I have found the answer!". That is what Science is all about! Not betterment, or justice, or even truth! It's about proving you were right from the start, and if you weren't, die having everyone believe what you preached only to be discredited 15 years in the future by someone with a much better point.

THAT is a TRUE Scientist!
