well i think every person should make their own goals based on what they would want out of life. the problem is everyone learns from really young age from parents what they "should" be doing and distorts their life.I thought you would say something to those likes. But alrighty then, just wanted to know.
i set out to make money. its all i wanted. i dont want a family i dont want kids. i dont want to live in a house in some subberb. i dont want a 40hour a week job.
my goals were to be to create a life out of that. so i did. and i consider myself extremely successful.
however many people could look at my life and tell me im incomplete lol. its happened many times now. because they dont think that life is how normal people should be living.
the real trick to success is to get the hell out of the loop and create your own "success" goal. because the traditional one has failed every last person during the last 4 generations and playing a broken system will only slow you down.
just tradition;I'm not asking about society nor about what it was or how some people measure. Just you. On a personal level. What do you think makes you successful in life.
1 get married young
2 get into a home dept
3 make babies
4 raise your kids to burden themselves into taking care of you when you are old, and have them repeat the whole cycle.
if you do these things well. then you lived a proper life lol.
its all bullstuff. thank god society broke that system.
my whole thought is that all marriage for anyone is unneeded.Just a question; How do you measure a "successful life"
in the modern world, the only difference marriage makes is:
1 bank accounts
2 insurance
3 taxes
4 cant be forced to testify against spouse
-pretty much removing everything religiously involved lol
other then that its a bunch of bullstuff that is misleading to a successful life. be it for themselves or their kids.
Yes *Magick* Mage, that is exactly what I meant. _Rave_ can't seem to understand parents can raise children without marriage.Well, I think he is working on a basis that two birth parents should be married prior to them having a child. That way, there will be some structure in the child's life and one parent doesn't just decided "not my problem lolbye". And while I full heartingly agree that two people should only have a child after marriage, I also understand that it is perfectly reasonable for a child to be raised by only one parent, or by grandparents, or by family friend, or who ever else so they may be raised by. And I also know that children can turn out perfectly fine and successful that way, just as they could with two married parents.
You haven't exactly been clear with your opinion. That has nothing to do with you leaving the sweet country of America. Please do.I think the point Otis is trying to get at is marriage isn't required for a child to grow up. That as long as they have some functional guidance, it doesn't necessarily have to be two married birth parents.
Michael Phelps?The organist? :o
The WBC makes me laugh my ass off too because what they don't seem to realize is that more prominent in the Bible than "TEH HOMOS FINNA BURN" was "Don't judge other people because you have your own faults."It's ashame that Phelps fellow acts the way he does. Beneath all the anger and hatred, I'm sure there is a kind old man somewhere. :c
I support it, mainly cause im gonna marry my boyfriend :3 <3You're 14 ._.
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/says_about/stoning.htmlGod was very angry in the Old Testament.
That's kinda disturbing.I hope they use FM. :o
