and christmas is the celebration of the birthday of the sun god; Satyr.

Halloween, a Celtic holiday. Again, related to religion. And Christmas itself was dated as such for a multitude of reasons, but in current-day society it is a Christian celebration. Even many religions have their roots in other religions. :o

Religion has played a major role in society since organized religion has been established. Many ideas, studies, and arts come from religion or are related to it in some way, shape or form. Like democracy, most modern musics, genetics, etc.
