Modification Help / Error when loading a sound
« on: December 18, 2013, 05:57:42 PM »
when I do

         %fireSound = %json.get("firesound");
         if(isFile(%firesound))
         {
            datablock AudioProfile(TF2_DummySound) {
               filename = %firesound;
               description = AudioClosest3d;
               preload = true;
            };
            TF2_DummySound.setName("TF2_" @ %id @ "_fireSound");
         }

I get
Object 'file/path/to/sound.wav'  is not a member of the 'AudioProfile' data block class
in console.
Disabling/enabling preload doesn't fix.

... and they are awesome. I mean, the probably have some sort of drug in them that makes them extremely addictive but I constantly find my self looking at NY times, CNN, Email, and the weather (wut).  the time line of this happening was pretty bitchy:

Friday -> nope no one was home so UPS took it, so we told them to stay and we'll pick em up
later that night they told us to metaphorically go commit insest.

Monday -> Package arrives, i open up and slap on my face to be instantly disappointed. They came with no charge. I charged them and slapped them on and got amused by the gimmick but put them down to go work. Though I found my self literally itching my arms to get them back on. I put them back on and I feel like I am in a zone of absolute invincibility. But... the price... and upgrading my PC... So I decide I'd return them. I put everything back perfectly and I go to have dinner. I go to walk by them and I realize that I am about to die so I literally tear them out of the packaging and put them on. And now I never wanna take them off again :<.
I'll get a good picture with them later, but here are some things I noted...

First of all, it was literally able to recognize "the roflcopter goes soi soi soi"
I literally shat my pants.

Second of all, it is extremely comfortable. When I take them off, I can feel where they were and I it just doesn't feel right </3.

These prices are taken from Amazon - I get it, what I have isn't in a sealed box. They won't sell for that price. The price listed is what is on Amazon and that's it.
Holy. loving. stuff.
So earlier today the cleaning lady came by and cleaned the house because my parents are lazy and she was cleaning my brother's old room and she found, the greatest discovery in my history. The old games collection. She gave them to me and said she found it in the deep depths of his closet and I thanked her and quickly went to inventory them and get their value on Amazon.
Holy. loving. stuff.

Consoles
Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP - Platinum = $200 (charged found later too!)
Game Boy Advance Console - Indigo = $250
XBOX Console = $250
Gamecube Indigo = $400

Games
Xbox:
NASCAR 2005: Chase For The Cup = $30 (not really surprising)

Game Boy Color:
Pokemon - Red Version = $430
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening = $300
Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue = $45 (my favorite one growing up!)
Scooby-Doo: Classic Creep Capers = $30 (very hard game!)
Tetris DX = $111

Gameboy Advance:
Donkey Kong Country = $insanely high (couldn't get a good price on this)
Spongebob Squarepants, Vol. 1 = $20
Lego Racers 2 = $100
Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge = $70 (I got it for $10 lol)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 = [/b]$30[/b]

Game Cube:
Wario Ware,inc = $68
Kirby Air Ride = $105

Grand Total: $2409 + whatever Donkey Kong Country really is (the one on Amazon said $10k).'

So what kind of old games do you have guys? I'm currently hunting for my other Gameboy Advanced. Post your old games list (old is classified for each company as follows):

Microsoft - Xbox Classic and older (is there such thing?)
Nintendo - Gamecube and older (hand held and consoles)
Sony - PS2 and down.

I haven't gotten together all my gamecube stuff and PS2 stuff but I don't have much other than this (that I think would be of any value). I decided not to sell them because of the memories.

The writing prompt was "The protagonist gets killed off halfway through his own first person narrative, and the story goes on as if nothing had happened."

So, here goes nothing:

Eastwood Middle School, I hadn't been to this palace in ages. The walls lined with books filled with knowledge ready to be soaked up by the ones who chose to read them, and it made me jitter with excitement. I turned around and looked at my mother, she was waving as the boom of a pistol went off. I quickly turned around and the shooter had already sprinted away, even with the smoke still suspended in air. I looked around for the victim but only saw the children in the school flooding out the exit, in fear of another victim.
I began to back out of the now empty hallway as I saw the streak of blood on the wall, with no corpse. Tears flooded my vision and I ran straight home. When I got home I fell straight through the door in tears. I begged for my mother to come, pounding my fists against the carpeted floor and curled up in a ball. After a minute of sobbing and banging I finally looked up to find out my mother had been seated at the dining room at the table, completely ignoring me. I wiped the tears out of my eyes and ran to mom, and as I wrapped my arms around her everything vanished into smoke, and I fell until I hit this chair.
“So thats it?” The man seated at the podium asked. “Yessir.” I could hardly make out the words, in disbelief of how brief my death was. I looked up at the man, the simple tap of a button could send me to my eternal damnation. But I hadn't done anything wrong, had I? I had straight A's, I loved my parents and went to church every sunday. I might have sinned once or twice, though I was an honest to God Christian. I winced when his finger fell on the button, at first nothing happened. Though slowly the gates creaked open, and the man looked at me and smiled. “Welcome to Heaven.”

Tell me what you think guys.
