Off Topic / How do you pronounce Doge?

I made a Doge reference today to my brother (20 year old commercial pilot who spends his free time on reddit, lol nerd) and he said "oh doge is so old", but he said it like DOE-GEE
So I was just wondering how it is actually pronounced?
I pronounce it as "doggy"

I keep getting notifications whenever I buy a new game that I have just got some stuffty trading card.
These are completely irrelevant to my life and I want to disable them.
Any way to block the process of getting them?

Off Topic / Furdle is moving to America for a while..

Hey blogland
So I've been planning what to do with my summer this year, last year was Africa buuut this year it's America! Yep, I'll be teaching drama in a summer camp on the east coast
I'm not sure where I'll be just yet, but I will let you guys know, plus I'll have a few weeks after to travel so I may pay a visit to Tokerovin's crib.
Not sure how long I go for but I'm aiming for 4 months. Anyone have any experience in teaching at these camps? Or even going to them as a kid?

General Discussion / 'A' -- Alpha's Apprentice Initiative

Alpha Apprentice Initiative
  Due to the high level of new members in Blockland, I have decided to launch an initiative to help out new players increase their building skill. The apprenticeship is split into three categories to match the player's skill judged by Alpha members. The course will take place in connection with Alpha's current projects to teach the apprentices different skills and tricks which will make them better builders.
  Any player can apply for the apprenticeships, however we will only accept players which are dedicated to learning, mature enough to work with and are able to learn. After applying, they will be invited to come into an Alpha server for a short casual chat which they will be judged on by an Alpha member to find out the potential of the applicant.

Foundation Apprenticeship
  Foundation level is for the completely new players. In this they will learn how to build basic structures, terrain and props and learn how to make a quality server. This stage will also teach the apprentice their own build style, which is important as a learning process to continue on their learnings.

Advanced Apprenticeship
  Advanced level is for the players who have played Blockland for some time, or alternatively are players in which have passed the Foundation Apprenticeship and are ready to move onto the next level. Here, they will learn advanced techniques into detailing a build, how to make realistic objects and buildings using real life images.
Advanced Apprentices:
 -Lego Pepper

Alpha Initiation
  On graduation from the Advanced Apprenticeship, players will be invited to be initiated in Alpha. Rejecting the offer is an open option and will be taken with respect.
How to apply to the Initiative
  You can PM me, RTB chat me or post on this clan discussion topic about applying. No template signup is needed, just a short explanation. Please remember, everyone is eligible to apply but it all breaks down to the personality of the player in which we are looking for.

Operation Tiger Block
On a small island near Japan, America assaults the coast, striking the island from the north.
The island siege is the first strike to destroy the axis and end the second world war.
Japanese forces defend the island from the secret operations room, deep in the unforgiving Asian jungle.
Using the USA forward base, America plans the assault to take over the island. However, the fearless Japanese warriors are not giving the foothold of the Pacific easily.

This is a small part of the map, without the environmental water and only previewing a small portion of the map.
More foliage will be added and more props.

  For a while, I have wanted to start my own clan, to produce quality projects with Blockland's finest. Applications are now being accepted while we are in our Beginning stage. Alpha is a clan dedicated to creating projects of the highest quality and production rate. Other quality clans lack in production rate, usually churning out a few projects a year. Alpha aims to bring Blockland a project around every two months. Only accepting the best members, we plan to create Blockland's finest clan.


  Yes, Alpha WILL be egotistical elitist snobs, but we deserve to be.
I do realise a lot of the forums do hate a big ego, but its your decision to not apply.

General Discussion / Opinions on RP servers using certain mods

I have always disliked RP chat and RP sounds. I feel they really ruin servers when used.
RP chat just gets abused with names, I don't think there is a chat system that is currently being used which actually works.
RP sounds suck, they feel really out of place, and even though the default sounds aren't perfect, they're better than the RP sounds.
(As I don't use these two mods, I don't know what they're called and cannot find links, help with that would be nice)

I think there is potential for a quality RP chat system, somewhat like WoW's chat system.
I also think there is potential for some realistic player sounds to be made which actually fit blockland perfectly.

Pretty sick of the topics like "what would you do/give/rate/forget the avatar above you" so I thought of this.

What kind of things do you think that you do that only you do?
for example:

I always drink everything in a can/bottle/glass.. it really annoys me when people leave a tiny bit.
also
I never concentrate on scenes in Schrader house in breaking bad, I always concentrate on all the purple objects in the background lol.

Games / How to get a refund?

Anyone else having trouble getting a refund through steam?
I've tried for so many crappy games I've mistakenly bought and then realised they're dumb.
The latest one, Arma 3.
I especially regret it now Day Z standalone is out.
I just sent an email to sales@bistudio.com, the developers of Arma 3, awaiting a reply.
The last time I tried to get a refund, Kinetic Void... Steam told me to talk to the developers, the developers told me to talk to steam, and so on, until I gave up and let my precious £15 slide :'(
If anyone has any tips for dealing with refunds, please tell me. So far I've read up that steam only give you a refund through their system if you've only had the game for 15 minutes.. but I've only played 5 minutes of Arma 3 to realise its stuff. Bought it a few weeks ago.
Any serious advice will be great.

I think I can state without a doubt that SPO has finally done what no clan has ever done before, or even got close to achieving.
As some of the hype about Steam, you may have seen that SPO castle has become the official logo of Blockland.
Is SPO egotistical? You be the judge.
