General Discussion / I'm back

Hi, I took a long break, most of you probably don't know me, but I still remember some of you from a while back.  To give those who don't know me an idea of when I played, my Id was 9673 until I asked to get it changed, and it is 16365 now.

I have regained interest in this game, and have been playing on various servers for the past few days.

Also, how can I make brick damage permanent in a mingame?  -1 doesn't work.

My server worked 3 days ago, but now, nobody joins my server.  Either my server does not work or nobody likes me.  Just to make sure, can you join my server?
I also want to know if my server has good or bad latency to others.  My in-game name is the same as my forum name.

General Discussion / So I think I will be playing blockland again.

Some of you may remember me, most of you will probably not.

I used to love this game, and it is still the best sandbox game I have ever played (Including gmod).  The only thing keeping me from playing is the add-on system.  So If someone who goes to servers frequently and has "Download Item Shapes" on could upload their add-on folder to a file hosting site, I may play blockland again.

Also, tell me what I have missed.

Edit:  My Id was 9673, and I got it reassigned to 16365 I think.

Help / My ping goes crazy.

In blockland, on all servers, my ping will go from 50 to 300 and back down in a matter of 3 seconds.
Although I am having ping problems with everything else, like in tf2 and other games the ping will do the same thing but over the course of 40 minutes or so.

Help would be appreciated.

With all the piles of add-ons and such, even with only download models on, it can take upwards of 40 minutes to get in a server.

Help / Port forward problem

When I put in the stuff for ipv4, it disconnects me from the internet entirely and I have to set it back.
Any fixes?

Whenever I got into the local area connection properties, into the IPV4, and change the top 3 lines to what they are supposed to be as shown in the tutorial on blockland.us, my internet gets disconnected. Any ideas?

Help / Port Forwarding Problem

Since I don't have a host computer hooked up to our router, the local area connection is off, but we have connection to the internet.  This is probably the problem.  If someone could tell me how to port forward without it or how to hook up my laptop to it, that would be great.

Off Topic / How to not sustain a head injury.

Today I sustained a "Laceration" on the top of my head.  They had to put painful stitches in it.  They were especially painful because they looked exactly like staples.

Protip: Do not try to jump on to a moving car over a gravel road.

Ever since Space Guy released his TDM mod, I have seen nothing but TDMs such as  "____'s TDM with 8 classes".  The only regular DM I've seen is bob&rob's afghan DM.

Help / Port forward problem

My old computer broke, and it was attached to our router, so the router isn't connected to a computer, just directly in the wall.  Ever since, on my laptop, the internet has been connected but the Local Area Connection has not been connected.  Since You have to edit the properties of the LAC, this leads me to believe this is the problem.

How would I make it so if Player 1 shoots Player 2, It would have a certain damage range (ie 1-10) and centerprint Player 1 the damage he made?
