i hope youre joking

making a game like this vr only severely only limits its possible playercount. id compare it to bethesda's Blades mobile game. It's cool that bethesda released a new elderscrolls game, but its on mobile
and there are still vastly more people who "game" on smartphones than on VR.
vr in general is just shelling out an extra $1,000 so you can look at anime goth gf boobies with depth perception and pretend to jiggle them with your controllers
I haven't been looking at those jigglebones and interactable body mods for Skyrim!
It sounds funny for like a moment, but i wouldn't want to be caught doing stuff like that. xD

Sadly i cannot agree with you myself, but i can see why you say it.
Such opportunities are good for getting public recognition, however, that does not mean it will go unpunished if you go over the written rules.

Sorry but post-game commentary is supposed to be about the game.
Doing this during the post-game commentary is not professional at all.
Now if they did all that due to actions outside of the game, then i would not support it at all.
But this, in the context of how/where it happened, it makes sense.

While the movement might be worth supporting and all (i have not read myself in on what is going on exactly), that was not the right place for it.
It also really forgets with the representation of Blizzard. If they did not do anything about it, Blizzard would be marked as a supporter for the movement, while it is better to keep yourself out of the whole conversation. What is Blizzard's role in this conversation, do they really have any responsibility to take their stance in this conversation?
Acting on it might show they do not support the movement, but i think this is just a breach of conduct. If it was due to actions outside of the game (and commentary), it would be more worrisome.

Also if we support that, what keeps people from sharing more controversial opinions?
We need to draw a line somewhere, and i think they did that for a good reason.

That seems like it took quite some work, but it also looks rather neat that you can do all that.

I imagine they will still sell a lot of copies, even though many people claim they will never buy from the Epic store.
Only time will tell.

His funding ran out as much as you ran out of letters for the topic.

hopefully can register my old copy with steam
already have it as a non-steam game, would be nice to have it fully part of steam though
Wollay already confirmed on twitter (right after the announcement) that Alpha owners will get a Steam key.
Glad he did that because it would feel more like Cash Grab 2.0 if we didn't.

Which also has this article: https://medium.com/@bombsfall/alec-2618dc1e23e written by Scott Benson.
Very sad to read this as it seems to be that Alec was suffering from quite the disorder.
This of course, still doesn't excuse the things he has done to people, but i can't help but feel bad for someone who could probably not see the fault in his behavior until it already did the damage.
These things barely reach court too, the involved people are often glad enough if they can leave it behind them and court would just put them under more emotional pressure.

(Emotional) Abuse victims often do not go to court over the harm done, it is too close, too personal, too touching.
I am inclined to believe the many stories, especially since they show the morally gray areas of the problem they experienced.
It is a very difficult and sad thing.

It is a complex situation, a lot of gray areas.
Both parties should be wary of themselves not just spreading hatred and/or misinformation.
While it is true that there has been no court saying he was guilty of loveual abuse, no court has decided that people like Zoe have been guilty to defamation either.
If you claim to believe in innocent until proven guilty, then extend it both ways.

I am not sure what to think of the allegations.
I just think it is sad someone killed himself while going through an obviously hard time.

Nice, having more weapons for that system makes it more interesting to use.
Would love to see like a RPG/rocket launcher for SWeps, maybe something interesting for this pack?

General Discussion / Re: Blockland Development
« on: August 03, 2019, 12:29:35 PM »
Would love to see more updates or any bigger developments then just bug fixes, but i also feel that i got a lot out of this game already.
I think people invested a lot of time and effort in this game and they do not want to lose that investment by the game eventually not being supported anymore.
Signs of a good game, if people are so invested in it. But also makes the letting go all the more harder for everyone.

Overall, we should be glad we got what we had and hope we get something similar in the future which can take over this massive block shaped hole in our hearts.
