Add-Ons / Re: Old School Colorful Weaponset
« on: December 11, 2015, 04:58:01 PM »
So what is the idea behind the specific colors for the weapons.
Or did you just take one of the colors randomly for each weapon.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Texture fix for the Apache helicopter

Works fine with any vehicle I have with transparent windows.

The only one who can fix this is the guy that made the helicopter.
Good luck reviving the great and mighty Jaydee.

Games / Re: Any RTS games where you can play as a unit?
« on: November 30, 2015, 11:32:03 AM »
Nuclear Dawn, Natural Selection 2.
However, in such games you rely on the skills of the player who takes the role of the commander.
A very old one and more unknown would be Parkan Iron Strategy, however, you play as the commander yourself as well.

Wow, surprising lot of replies, everyone so far, either PM me your steam or add me on steam.
I use the same name, lordician, if you really cannot find me, you might be able to find me through the blocklanders group on Steam.

also doesn't the new launcher allow for the use of older versions?
Yes, in the profile settings you can select a version.
I think it goes as far as alpha even.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Kylo Ren Lightsaber
« on: November 14, 2015, 05:03:27 AM »
I still can't see why that's a thing.
Even if the only thing that could stop a lightsaber is another lightsaber, those little bits on the base of the sidesabers would be cut off.
Aaaaaand if it were for fighting, it would kill the opponent; they'd die of laughter at how awkwardly you'd have to swing it to hit.
Those things on the side are just to protect the wielders hand, the laser does not come from there but the middle of the lightsaber.
Or so i heard, honestly, i am not 100% on the lore about lightsabers.
All i know the laser originates from a crystal inside the lightsaber handle that determines the color of the lightsaber.

Games / Re: Starbound Megathread - Stable v. Upbeat Giraffe is Out

Aha, the enemy got stuck on the block
arnt they suppose to be fixing what they have already though
Because fixing stuff is the only stuff they should do.
I am really tired of such comments on games.
Bug fixes are a thing that needs to happen yes, but with patch after patch of bug fixes you are not gonna entertain and keep people interested.
Adding some new stuff is sometimes also necessary to improve on the gameplay.
And not everyone on the team can be put on bug fixing, some are way more proficient at parts that do not need bug fixing.
And developers like to do new, fun stuff every once in a while since they are not robots.

I am not saying the development of Starbound is perfect, but i am so sick of comments like this.
If you don't like how they develop, ignore the game for a long while, check back after a long while.
There is plenty of other stuff probably.
The whole Steam Early Access thing warns you that a game in Early Access might not even be finished.
Of course i understand you expect those games to be finished, but it still is a risk.
Development might be halted or slow (very, very slow), such is the risk of Early loving Access.

Sorry, venting over, continue to tell everyone how bad the development is of this game and ranting and raving about how Chucklefish is evil.
And how my post is missing some important points about how bad it actually is.
FYI, i haven't played the game for a long time now for the same reason, slow development.
I did play one of the earlier versions and had a good time with that and later some mods.
After a while that grew boring a bit and some parts clearly needed refinement to make it more interesting.
I keep track of the development to see how it progresses because that is what i do with a lot of games for no reason.
From what i see, the next stable update i might jump in again to see what changed and how it is now, it seems like they did some good things with combat, monsters and stuff.
Even having vehicles being separate objects instead of like player like things.

General Discussion / Re: What has been your longest-used username on BL
« on: November 06, 2015, 07:31:43 AM »
I have had this username ever since i started playing games.
Well, i started with Aitchui or Lord_Aitchui or something, named after a game i liked on Miniclip or something.
Soon after i made my way to this username and it stuck ever since.

Finally got around to remaking my semi-futuristic dropship:
I like it.
It reminded me of the one from the film Avatar, but there are actually some differences.

I don't think this is meant to do this.
There must be a conflicting add-on present on your server that breaks that.
It is hard to say what exactly it could be from such little information.

Games / Re: Payday 2 Megathread: New heist!
« on: November 02, 2015, 03:38:03 PM »
I've also been seeing other artists in the pool now for the soundtrack. I guess they want to broaden it a bit.
During Crimefest they had another "guest artist" Le Castle Vania with, for example, "Infinite Ammo"
The  earlier guest artist being also Alesso of course... Who had an entire heist dedicated to him. >_<
I think there was another one? I am not sure though.
Either way, i don't think this is a bad thing, especially since we can select our music in-game ourselves anyway.
At least there is now more and more variety for the player.
