Yayayayayay epicness.
I think I can get a link to 4 parts of like a whole bunch of desktops(too bad they're rapidshare) and they follow the type of future earth/world /scifi type.

If you've seen the movie, sub minges for Blockheads. If not....:confused: Plz watch and profit: http://www.waroftheservers.com/ It's a Garry's mod movie. A GOOD Gmod movie. If you would like to help, plz watch at least the first 1/2, or some of it.
I want to make a WotS tribute / BL parody.
Anywho, I am asking for ideas for characters, story ideas and other good stuff. I want to stereotype different BL player types and servers. I also have a good idea on how to have loads of blockheads attack. A add-on I'm working on. More later, me finish movie first.:p
I'm also taking advance requests for jobs. Early filming will start once we have a vague story, I have BL. There's also Stargates. lol
Early Character list, (You want on here, tell me, I would like some skills info too.)
Dramatis Personae:
The Blockheads, All the same, White shirt, goofy grin, red cap. The default player model. Usually has a Remover wand, bow or sword. Pure evil. A fog precedes them, They will spawn, spam, and if their weapons hit you, you crash for good. No respawning. Ever. After they take a server, It tends to crash. If it doesn't, it remains up, full of spam, and deserted. They come from nowhere, hitting everywhere at once.
They have to be stopped, for the survival of Blockland and it's players.
2LT Naes Draw, sometime host, Super Admin, Pilot, coder.
A player back from RTB, he just got retail and has no idea what he is getting into.
He also is a good fighter pilot, in the Rebel Squadrons and BL. With some coding exp.
(If he wants to)
Swifty, host, Super Admin, l33t admin skillz.
Katrose8, loner, tower builder, and moderator.
Plays on her Multiplayer server, but no one ever joins. She is very new.
What I have so far, I will help a bit with all of it, but the more the better.
There is still space tho. If I get enough people in a job, I can work more somewhere else.

Actors: Play parts in the movie, you will likely use more then one appearance, and play more then one role.
Add-On work: Making add-ons for scenes as needed.
Set work: Making set saves, one set per save to cut down on lag. We load them as we need them.
Directing of general scenes: What it sounds like, you direct the actors, and sfx people.
Directing fight scenes: Similar, but more of the large scale fights, you will be working with live combatants aka bots, so planing ahead of time is needed. We would need to restart the scene if some thing messes up.
Voice work: People to figure out how voice will be added, getting the files recorded and coordinating it.
Mapper: We likely will need a map or two. We give a idea of what it looks like and you build it.
Effects team: People who use the wrench to start and stop effects behind the scenes.

« December 22, 2006, 06:13:08 am » Okay, so this has been asked for a lot and I know I've not made the best Blockland movies but at least I know how to do it.
So lets get the movie subject straight, recordings are not movies. Movies are shot by an outsider program and recordings are in game. Please take note that this tutorial is for making movies, not awesome recordings.
Right, onwards to the actual movie making. You will need to know what you are doing and a total control. If things go funky the movie is gonna flunk and the whole thing is just a waste of time. You need to have leaders designated for different things. Such as,
Director of Shooting (The recorder, the cameraman)
Director of Actors (Casting, sorting everyone out)
Director of Set (Props, maps, builds, etc)
Once we've got the direction triangle set up we need our equipment.
Blockland (How will you make a blockland movie without Blockland?)
A recording tool (Fraps is the most common, www.fraps.com)
An editing tool (Most people use windows movie maker although advanced film makers use an assortment)
An uploading site (Can be a friends site, can be YouTube, can be Google video, can be Bjwaymods.. whatever you can get your hands on)
Now we've still got our GUIs up, this wont look great on screen at all! So go onto your Blockland options and set them to look like this:
Only the recorder needs to do this, and the recorder should have his copy of fraps running by now. Another "trade secret" is that shooting always makes you go twice as fast on screen, to solve this an admin should type in '/timescale 0.5' without the apostrophes.
You should shoot your film from different angles, stopping and starting from mixed locations. Try to make sure everything runs smoothly and actors know what they are doing because Fraps video files take up lots of space.
Now then, the hard bit... editing *Shudders*. Open your editor and import your videos in, you may need effects, you'll probably want to use transitions and opening and closing credits are a must. Once you've finished compile your film and put it to your uploading site. Don't forget to engage public interest or your hard work will have no purpose.
Stick to this tutorial and you'll have a smooth running film.
Much hope that this will stop the questions flooding in and we'll see an influx of new films coming in!

I think the friend AND enemy list idea is a great idea....EXCEPT...they CAN join the server you're in.
That would be mean if just because you don't like them, they can't play with the other players in the server.
