i was messing around with shaders one time and through a weird glitch i found that Blockland already does this removing faces stuff. so yeah it's already in the game

I still hate the grappling aspect I feel like it has too much of a learning curve to being able to actually grapple well and seems to just delay gameplay because people are just flying all over the place with grapple ropes not doing anything

personally i dont enjoy them all that much, but i dont have a problem with other people liking them
I have no problem with people liking them but I feel like its such stale reused gameplay that isn't fun at all

I don't want to rain on everyone's parade.. but why are grapple knife/knife tdm's still a thing, I hate them
the same stuff has been hosted for atleast the past 4 years and we still use almost the same map set up
not to mention blockland melee sucks ass already with things like crouching
grapple knife tdm's add a little bit more... but they've also been hosted for so long... I don't even know how to use the grapple hook efficiently and I don't think 80% of people do, the game just gets drawn out by people hanging from their grapple hooks with no momentum or people just flying around, it very hard to actually be able to hit anyone grappling at ridiculous speeds

I apologize I know I'm a stuffty scatterbrain post writer but you people probably get an idea of what im saying
what do you think?

you should fill your database with entries from other databases so it starts out with a lot of entries

Using many brick functions, like ::setEmitter, ::setItem, ::setLight, ::setVehicle, etc, do require IDs, and I'm not sure why.

But yeah nameToID or ::getID are what you're looking for.
probably to be more efficient rather than doing user checking on functions that will mostly only be accessed by bricks
