« on: January 08, 2012, 09:05:12 PM »so what you people are saying is that because it was made using a computer it doesn't warrant any kind of skill, and he doesn't deserve a grammy because it isn't real music? last time i checked video games are made on computers, and most modern popular music was mixed and fixed on computers, and every video you watch on the internet was made on a computer. music is a type of media, the same as video games, and therefore can be treated as other music genres. you can not like dubstep, but that doesn't mean you have to be a flaming richard about it. dubstep is a genre of music, any argument about how it's some kind of beat can be applied to almost every other form of music.Solid unarguable statement. Thanks for using your brain unlike the rest of the thread.

Stuntman, although I agree with your points, it's impossible trying to argue with people over dubstep. Its basically the same as trying to argue with religious people about religion.

My opinion:
The true blockland community has grown up a little bit. I know I don't have as much time to play blockland now that I'm in college. I know other older members that are in college. You just have to flow with the times, there are probably more people playing now that don't know about the forums, they just play blockland and are like 11. I'm 19 and have played since around 0002, there are very few players like me left. The good thing is, its not a change for the worst, you just have to go out and meet all these new people. MAriofan1337, mastercheef69, xx420lilwayne420xx, they all could be great people, but their names reflect the culture they grew up in. For example, Masterlegodude has a silly name, but no one ever says anything about it.
All in all, maybe your friends are dying off, but the Blockland community still has a driving force.

It's already been said, but basically there used to be mirrors in mods for 0002, so its possible but they're bad for functionality and for usage so Baddy won't be adding them in.
