Off Topic / How many of you prefer losless over compressed music?
« on: January 29, 2012, 10:08:36 PM »
After listening to a bunch of Royksopp on YouTube and Grooveshark, I bought a few of their CDs. After ripping them to FLAC, I noticed a huge difference in audio quality. Now all my other music sounds like stuff D:

Just curious, but does compression matter to you? Only if it's under a certain bitrate?

Sorry if this is a stupid topic, I've just been bored lately and want your opinion on this :I

I have a URL for a wallpaper on a website, but my antivirus won't let me go there (I can get around that, but I'd rather not take the chance.) The URL isn't the address of the picture, but instead a page that displays the picture. Is there a website that can grab the URLs of images displayed on a webpage? I know TinEye can do something like this, but it doesn't always see all the images on the page, and most of the time just sees useless things like images used for buttons and links.

My plan is to get the URL of the wallpaper, upload it to ImageShack, and then download it from there.

FortressCraft is basically Minecraft with good graphics for the Xbox 360. More info can be found at the main page of the official website. The first chapter should be released around the 19th as an Xbox Live Indie Game. It is set to be 240 MSP.

Off Topic / Internet problems. How to fix? :(
« on: March 01, 2011, 11:59:14 PM »
Ever since the day before yesterday, I've been having problems with the internet. Pretty much every site I go to takes way longer than usual to load, with the exception of GameFAQs and the Blockland forums. I've also had problems with the Firefox interface freezing, but me still being able to browse a website.

Anyone know if this is a problem on my end, and if I can fix it?

Off Topic / Being forced to learn guitar. wat do?
« on: February 13, 2011, 02:14:52 PM »
So, my parents are going to force me to learn guitar because my school will pay for it (yay for wasting money mirite?)

Anyway, I have absolutely no interest in learning any instrument at all. I'd rather make music in something like FL Studio. I'm trying to get out of having to take lessons, but it looks like my parents are dead-set on having me learn guitar.

wat do? :(

Any of you bitches use it?

My parents have been thinking of canceling DirecTV and getting Netflix instead because DirecTV is $70 a month.

If anyone here has it, tell me, how is it? :>

Games / Anyone know what game this is?
« on: January 22, 2011, 12:40:43 AM »
Sorry for making one of these threads, but this has really been eating away at me for some reason.

Years ago I used to download demos and stuff from Fileplanet. I think it was around 2003-2005, maybe even 2006. Anyway, I remember playing some racing game. I think it was just racing the newer VW beetles (or at least the demo was.) The map was basically kind of a highway in the mountains where some parts were all grassy and green, and other parts were snowy. There was a song that played with it, too. Not sure about the lyrics, but I remember hearing something about a cloud or something.

I know the chances of one of you guys knowing what game I'm talking about are slim, but it's worth a try.

And once again, sorry for making one of these threads.

Games / Anyone know of a good game recording software?
« on: January 05, 2011, 09:02:18 PM »
I need one that compresses the videos, but can still record in HD.

It can't be something like CamStudio since that isn't made for games and records like stuff when using it for games.

Off Topic / I'd like your opinions on something
« on: December 30, 2010, 01:57:19 PM »
My mom's friend wants to let her 8 year old son play an online game, but one that is decently moderated.

I pretty much threw Blockland out the suggestions at this point since a lot of you here are teenagers that can be starfishs at times to newcigarettes and/or kids around his age.

So, does anyone know of any decently moderated games that an 8 year old kid would like? I want your honest opinions, so don't be friends.

Games / SSX: Deadly Descents (AKA Call of SSX: Modern Snowfare)
« on: December 11, 2010, 11:09:06 PM »

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5S1jcTbeN0

EA revealed a trailer for it's new SSX game. It seems they turned it into the serious grit-fest full of gray-ish colors that Call of Duty is.

Not much detail has been released about the game, other than you get squirrel suits, ice picks to reenact the dramatic almost-falling-but-still-rigged ice scene from Modern Warfare 2 with, and a helicopter you dramatically jump from.

now bitches best get discussin'
