I just now noticed Blockland is anti aliased for me. I don't remember it having anti aliasing before, though. Anyone know why it's anti aliased for me?

My new computer just came in the mail yesterday. After I spent about an hour hooking everything up and moving the desk around, I tried to turn it on. Nothing happened. After tech support was called, I was told to re-seat the power cables. Sure enough, it worked after that.

Anyway, here's the computer
And here's the graphics card for it I just ordered today
Even though I can't play many games, I've already loaded this up with over 30GBs of games for when the graphics card finally comes. Then I'll finally be able to play all those games I got in that holiday sale on steam :D

Anyway, is this sort of a crappy computer? I don't know that much about specs. I know it's not a really a gaming computer, but at least it's better than my old one that pooped out 3 weeks ago.

Off Topic / PC crapped out -- Anyone know why?

About two weeks ago, I was browsing the GameFAQs forum. I went to a link of a picture on photobucket parodying the PS3 "it only does everything" ad. After looking at the picture for about five seconds, I hit back and the computer froze. Not the kind of freezing where you can still move the mouse, everything just froze.

And I turned it off and back on again, and it just kept making a long beep without showing anything on the screen. The beep would continue until I turned the computer off.

Anyone know if this was from a virus, or just some hardware glitch/problem?

OH HEY ANOTHER COMPUTER TOPIC, I BET YOU GUYS HAVEN'T SEEN MANY OF THESE LATELY AM I RIGHT?

Okay, so I'm getting a new computer in about a week. Here are the specs:

2GB DDR2 RAM
2.6GHz Pentium Dual Core Processor
Nvidia GeForce GT220 GT 240 Graphics card with 1GB DDR3 VRAM

Those are all the specs I can get at the moment. Would this be able to play any game released within the past year on high? I don't really care about graphics, I'm just wondering.

Games / Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex

No, it's not a new Call of Duty game. It's a port of the first Modern Warfare for the wii.

Anyway, anyone else have it? It's pretty fun.

The controls were way better than I thought they'd be, and the motion controls for reloading and stuff worked great.

I tried online once, and there was no visible lag. But there definitely was some lag with the hit detection. In the five minute mach I played, I only got one kill. Even though I was aiming directly at people (some that weren't even moving) and shooting, they wouldn't die. The one kill I got was just dumb luck with a grenade I accidentally threw.

It's a neat little program I found. It basically removes objects/shadows/etc from photos.

Here's an image I made to show what it does and how it looks afterward: Big image [1600x567]

It doesn't end up looking that good if you're doing something like removing a large object in front of a polka-dotted background (sort of what I did in the image mentioned above). But if you're removing something like specks of dirt from an image it looks pretty good.

It's fun to screw around a remove limbs of people, too :P

I'm not really sure why I posted this.. I just felt like it, I guess. Hopefully this isn't counted as "spammy".

I avoid any food product from china or mexico, or any other of those weird countries. Well, earlier after eating about eight Now and Laters, I noticed that they were made from mexico. After finding something to gag myself with I wen into the bathroom and induced vomiting until my throat felt sore. I probably vomited up about 3 or 4 of them.

I overreact, don't I?

Games / Is it weird that I avoid platinum hits versions of games?

I don't know why, but I just hate platinum hits versions of games. Which is weird, because most games that are platinum hits come with some DLC. I think it's just the cases or something

Once, I even waited about a week for someone to put a non-platinum hits version of Mass Effect on Amazon.

God, I haven't been able to stop listening to the soundtrack from WET. Before I've never really been a music person but now I can't stop listening to the damn soundtrack
