I know that, but I could also say that the source engine never came out, because the 2004 source engine "is just a modified HL1 Engine".True, but that was a major modification which could be considered a whole new engine. Better graphics, more capabilities, etc. The modifications of the source engine haven't really done much. Graphics look pretty much the same, and I'm sure there weren't many capabilities added.
Half-Life 2: Episode 3 = Half-Life 3Source engine came out in 2004 when HL2 was released. Anything after that to this day were just modifications, not new engines.
It's just a name difference, they are the same game.
Also, the Ep2 engine is not 6 years old, it's 4 years old thank you very much. :P
