AVI is just a piece of plop.AVI is just a container format. You can have compressed as well as uncompressed AVI files. Also, you should keep your source footage uncompressed (lossless) until the final render, which would be uploaded to youtube.

jesus forget, it must be putting other stuff in it besides the audio and video.No, it's not. IIRC, fraps saves video in lossless/uncompresses AVI. When video isn't compressed, it takes up a forgetton of space.

try to not do stuffty crossfades, keep the tempos the same generally, only moving down if you wont crossfade or have other meansCrossfading is impossible with his setup. He doesn't even have a set of turntables; he's using his phone.
