I haven't heard the term application since smart phones came about. I will still continue to call them executables and programs.
Just because you haven't heard the term doesn't mean other people weren't using it.

I think you mean all of the bandwagon hate for Windows 8 instead of a specific hatred.

You're using a VGA monitor.
VGA is not HDCP compatible.
Use HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, or MiniDP.
You're forgeted unless you use a different monitor with any of the supported connectors

I have a vga adapter to the thing I need
Then I'm assuming you're using a VGA monitor.
VGA is not HDCP compatible.
Use HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, or MiniDP.

the card itself should be HDCP compatible or enabled if it was manufactured after 2008, your card is fine
are you using a VGA connection to your monitor?

I've been recording with FRAPS on hilariously awful hardware @ 1280x720 and I have had none of these issues. Are you sure you guys are doing it right?

Create a shortcut to the BlocklandLauncher.exe
Add "-dedicated -gamemode Custom" to the shortcut target
????
Profit

The first one crosses the border of my personal price range, so I'd need to do something else for that. But it is better rated. Although it is just the drive and I'm not sure I have the cables, or the screws, so the second one might be it. The second one has a lot of reviews mentioning noise, heat, and breakage, which makes me nervous.
If you get a bad drive, just RMA it. You'll have to pay for the return shipping to Newegg, but I think Seagate might pay the return shipping for you if you file the RMA with them instead of Newegg.

My school's computers are using windows 2002, I think, and some lenovo PCs from around 2003 or something. We aren't allowed to customize anything, and yes, that means we are only allowed to use internet explorer 6.

I'm not really sure about it, but it's old.
The latest version of Windows released by 2002 was Windows XP. You're probably thinking Windows 2000.
