I don't understand why people use Ubuntu. If you're going to use Linux, why would you use possibly the most disgusting linux distro ever made?

Fedora won't work on my laptop after two reboots, otherwise I'd be using Fedora with GNOME Classic on both my computers.

OP's monitor control panel is borked, I have a similar issue with my Acer AL1916.
Whenever I try to turn the monitor off, it opens the menu. Whenever I push both the menu button and the power button at the same time, it actually turns off. I have to do the same thing to turn it on.
I popped out the power button (probably shouldn't have done that but I did anyways,) cleaned the years of grime built up around the edges of the button, and popped it back in. It occasionally doesn't work, but I don't have to push Menu to turn it on or off anymore.

ChkDsk can delete wanted files

Where are you getting this bogus information from? chkdsk verifies the integrity of files, their security descriptors, and the file index it belongs to. It restores any orphaned files it has to remove.
