I have a problem with my new PC. I am still waiting on my dad and I to go buy windows 8, but I am wondering why I am getting the message "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media" Shouldn't I get a screen saying OS not installed or something? I checked and rechecked my SATA cables and everything is plugged in okay. In my BIOS, both my optical drive and my hard drive show up! Just wondering will there be problems when I get to installing windows?
Remove all USB peripherals and drives, this is a step most people overlook for troubleshooting boot issues.
Make sure your computer isn't trying to boot from a floppy disk, only necessary if you have a floppy drive.
Ensure your primary hard drive (the drive the bootloader is installed on) is set to be the highest priority drive in your BIOS.

it didn't even take them a few hours to completely kill their new meme
i wouldn't necessarily call it an actual meme, or even a sub-meme for that matter
it's a forced meme, expect unfunniness

Did you enable the other packs?
Do they have a server.cs with nothing in it?
Is the name proper (i.e. Print_2x2f_blah, Print_1x1_blah?)
Do you have spaces in the print's filenames?

i don't page stretch like everyone else so it's cool
and before Marcem goes and calls me a hypocrite, I already stated I like Unity more than GNOME 3, having to choose between the two made me go to Unity.

what is so bad about Unity?  I find nothing wrong with it.
It bogs down my video performance to no end, using GNOME Classic in place of the desktop shell gives me a much greater performance if I feel like playing games over Linux. The dash privacy options barely even work despite me putting every program I don't want to be monitored on the list. It even doesn't like my Intel GMA. Don't get me wrong though; I'm a sane individual who'd prefer Unity over GNOME 3 for various reasons, but GNOME Classic > Unity, IMO.

These Two PSUs are on really good sales, I'm not sure which I should go for.

Go for the Corsair one.
That's really hot? My GPU idles at about that temp.
I have a semi-low-end card, GT 220, but the cooler is so badass that it idles at 29°C with 2 monitors, while at the same time performing better than my 9500 GT. My CPU typically idles at 33°C, while my motherboard is around 35°C. My board gets hotter than my processor, I know, but the thermal paste has been needing replacement and I'm contemplating getting a new heatsink for it at the same time.

good laptop y/n
i'd be getting it at costco for $625 rather than $669 so
It's somewhat overpriced, but I guess it's worth it.
