one thing i dislike though is the drama section
if it was more like the weo forums town hall itd be better
by which i mean less "booooo this guy is terrible lets hate em" and more "this guy broke server rules and spammed, consider banning him from your server", like a report but to the public

Drama is what revolves around this place, and more importantly, it's one of Badspot's sources of income. Without Drama, plenty of events wouldn't have happened. Slick and Robo for example. They'd probably still have their first accounts and Miika wouldn't have been slandered as a whore. Arguing can be unethical at times, but not having a place to go to blow off steam would probably make this forum a worse place.

if anything they're larger and unoptimized, on modern systems this isn't an issue
but plugins for apt-get decrease the size of them and get rid of these issues

I own only one, and the firmware isn't installed (by default.) That's easily fixable, as b43-fwcutter comes on the disk, but it's the complete opposite with my Atheros adapter.

I find it balls handicapped they include all the tools for Broadcom adapters but don't for Atheros adapters, getting my mom to try ubuntu because of this is ridiculously hard because she has to plug it in to an ethernet jack to get connectivity.

I lost internet for 4 months back in 2011, and I'm currently in the same situation with my parents considering to cancel our internet and television due to lack of funds. Do I complain and make a topic about it? forget no. Why the hell would I want some random person over the internet to give a forget about my miserable personal life?
Just take what life curves at you and be glad you have necessities. Power and heat are more important than internet. Jesus christ.
