Hey fellow college student BL players, since winter break is winding down (at least for me) let's compare richard sizes things about our colleges that we love and things we don't.
When are you going back?: January 11
When do classes start?: January 12
Are you out of state/international? Yes.
College name: The Ohio State University
College location: Columbus, Ohio, USA
Sports nickname and mascot: Buckeyes, Brutus Buckeye
Majors & minors, prof programs, etc: Speech and Hearing Science major, Linguistics secondary major
Year: Freshman
Do you live on campus?: Yes
How are the dorms (n/a if off)?: Mine has no a/c so the first few weeks sucked, but other than that we have a great community.
Classes you're excited about next semester: Language and the Mind (Ling 3701), Semantics (Ling 4400), German Lit 1 (Ger 2101)
What's the best part about your college?: It's not too far from shopping, restaurants or downtown. We have over 50k students so you're bound to find people/things to do that you like as well.
What's the worst part about your college?: The neighborhood is bad, but we have campus police so it's not terrible. The campus is also loving huge so it's not unheard of to walk half an hour to class if the bus doesn't go close to your building.

So I was just reading the nostalgia thread and it made me think about how little time we really have to experience the world. This thread isn't like a LOL POST YER BUCKET LIST MEGATHREAD LOL DETH or anything but just share your thoughts about your own mortality and maybe we can help each other.
A couple of months ago I had the big old epiphany about death, how it's totally inevitable and that there will be a time in the not too distant future that I won't get to appreciate waking up. I mean I still have a bunch of time left on the planet because I'm only 18 but I think I am going through a quarter life crCIA type thing. I did well in high school and I'm doing well in college, and if things turn out right for me I should have a great job and great life.
But realizing I will become nothing again when I die? It's just sort of like, why even? I realize I have been given a lot of privileges and opportunities that most people won't get and I am going to take life by the horns and live it to its fullest (I hope) but I just can't shake this feeling that... it's kind of like people who mix all their food together instead of eating it separately. It's all going to the same place so why bother. Even if I have a great life I am going to die, so why bother?
I'm not suicidal and I don't constantly think about dying, but it does flit by in my mind at least a couple times a day. I have so much time left but I just worry that maybe these past 18 years I missed something. Idk. And if I can upload my brain to a computer before I die I'm totally gonna do it because then when my great great great grandkids try to delete me I can hack into their phones and light their shoes on fire or something.

So I've been setting aside money from Christmas and I'm looking at TV's and I think I have a couple good candidates picked out. I need something 1080p in the 40~ish inches range, around but definitely under $350 which will be good for gaming (Wii U, PS3). Amazon has a couple LG's and Sharps that fit what I'm looking for and I'm just wondering what you guys use.

The worst thing about living in Pennsylvania, along with people automatically assuming you're from Philly or Pittsburgh, is the insanely high state college prices that actually make it even or cheaper to go to a state college outside the commonwealth. Thanks, Governor Corbett.
