there's no loving benefit for an 18 year old legally getting a gun
it doesn't matter. The 2A is the assurance of the rest of the powers and rights held by the people. Without the force to resist oppression and abuse of authority, government grows too large and powerful.

mate, I understand how you feel. It can be difficult to feel lonely or like you're missing out on something, especially when you see the people around  you in relationships, living their lives, and from the outside, it looks like they're having a hell of a lot of fun.

It's natural to want that, too. But in the short-term, you are 16 years old, going through secondary school, and that window of time from about 12 or 13-18 can be one of the most challenging and confusing in your life. But it sounds like you've got a bit of depression and I can tell you from experience that the worst thing you can do when depressed is to put a focus on things outside of your own control. You can't feel entitled to or expect a relationship to come your way, or expect some sort of validation from the experience as if having a girlfriend would suddenly fix the dissatisfaction and sadness you're currently feeling.

You need to take care of yourself and your priorities before you can worry about yourself. As of this moment, this likely means school, work, and your own health. It's rough sometimes to stay focused through the stress, but at the same time (sorry for being blunt) you have an obligation to yourself to get your stuff together and fulfill your other obligations in life despite feeling upset, insecure, and frustrated. If you have an excessive amount of negative energy, I'd recommend trying to find a nearby gym, YMCA, community center, etc that has some sort of exercise equipment, I find it really helps physical health, mental health, and blows off a lot of steam if I get upset.

I'd really recommend watching some of Jordan Peterson's lectures about coping with depression, sorting out your life, and finding meaning.
They're really helpful and insightful, and I know personally they really help me when I'm at my worst.

A revolution to what? Don't be so naive, you realize that contemporary revolutions/coups almost always end in an authoritarian opportunist seizing power, right? Whenever a power vacuum is created (as in the collapse/overthrow of a government) there is a chance for a tyrant to rise.

Ex: Junta/AAA installing Pinochet in Chile, Chavez in Venezuela, Castro in Cuba, China/Soviet backed paramilitary forces installing the Kim regime in NK, etc etc.

If you think the two-party system is stuff, wait until you see a uniparty with the overt goal of loving over anyone in their way.

Look at what Stalin and his goons did in the USSR. They assassinated Trotsky, drove around in mobile gas-chambers to murder perceived enemies of the state, they murdered hundreds of thousands of people that they deemed to be threats to themselves through some combination of shooting, stabbing, hanging, and gassing. This isn't even mentioning the further millions they killed through incompetence.

Mao and the Red Guards got up to similar shenanigans in China, but they also destroyed irreplaceable pieces of their own history and heritage while they were at it, going so far as to drag the mummified bodies of past emperors out of tombs, nail them to trees, cut off their genitalia, and burn them along with the priceless artifacts from their burial sites.

But what of the people that helped these animals come to power? What happened to them? The more powerful among the revolutionaries were often lined up and shot, with the weaker and more controllable either being imprisoned in labor camps or sent back to the countryside to live in poverty and famine.

Any sort of revolutionary in the modern era, especially marxists/socialists, don't loving realize that when the revolution happens, they will not be the ones in control. When they've outlived their usefulness the revolutionaries will be forced to dig their own graves, lined up, and slaughtered like hogs by the very regime they installed.

Wasn't he going through the process of ordination to become a priest?

I'm guessing that he'd be pretty busy if that was the case. Running a church is a lot of work.

truly the most sophisticated drink. lowly plebs can't even compete.
I know you're being sarcastic, but mercury tonics have been a thing for the wealthy for a long time. IIRC emperor Qin Shi Huang was buried in a tomb with a literal river of flowing mercury and he spent the later years of his life consuming it to, ironically, try to live forever.

Lead is still incredibly toxic but I don't know of instances where people were actively consuming it.

He's constantly like that all over the forums. Think he's just too high up on himself and doesn't bother to try and understand someone else's view, ever.

ur channeling some seriously toxic attitude in your posts here and in the discord. you should be careful how you interpret other people’s messages and how aggressive you counter them. if you dont, i can see it being likely that you’ll get chatbanned at some point in the near future
^^^

being toxic is no way to deal with frustration. It's entirely possible to disagree with someone civilly without attacking or lashing out at them.
