I think the remark she made which reflected poorly on me was that, when Annoying Orange was speaking of her conduct as a lawyer, she said (obv not verbatim) "Go to hillaryclinton.com, our factcheckers have it there"

Yes, let's go to YOUR website to check for information on YOUR bad conduct! I'm sure hillaryclinton.com tells it like it is!

if anything is going to be the downfall of Hillary's campaign, it's going to be her trying to be something she's not.
Honest?

Mexico receives billions in remittances each year.

Saying "ohoho but $5 isn't that much, checkmate!" is only focusing on a single drop of the flood of money out of the us economy. If money isn't being spent here, we suffer, period.

If you want to focus on the fact that $5 is small, you can do that, but when the yearly remittances are around 27 BILLION dollars, that's 5,400,000,000 droplets of $5.

I'm going to wager this is because people in Argentina tend to make less money if the World Bank's stats on GDP per capita are to be trusted. In 2013, the GDP per capita of the United States was 53,041.98 USD. For Argentina, this figure is 14,715.18 USD.

The average American is making over 3 times as much money as the average Argentino per year. The costs of living are naturally going to be higher. That being said, things are still overpriced, but I would expect Argentina to be much cheaper because people overall earn less.

The only place I remember going to and spending an insane amount of money is NYC. I usually had my parents pay when I went to other places so I don't have track of the costs.
well yea because merchants in NYC can get away with pricing things highly because of
A.) high AS forget municipal tax/permit fees (IIRC it's like 200k to get a permit for a hot dog stand for 1 year)
B.) tourists that might not have a great concept of the value of US currency
C.) people in the tristate area are rich as forget but apathetic, so they'll bitch about things being expensive but they wont actually boycott any of it.

837
NYC is overpriced as forget tho
I live in the Tristate area, and all the people in NYC that are buying the overpriced stuff dont actually live in NYC.

99% of the professionals/suits that work in the city and make money live in the suburbs, mostly in CT in places like Greenwich, Fairfield, Westport, New Canaan, etc, because there's relatively easy access to the city on the MetroNorth New Haven line. Some also live in NY State/NJ, but in my experience these guys like to buy big houses in the quieter suburbs and have their 8 acres, their pool, tennis courts, etc.

These people and the money they have are the reason that the prices in NYC and Fairfield County in CT by extension are high. If they're willing to pay $12 for a hamburger,  a hamburger costs $12.

all the negative Texas stereotypes are about bumbleforget nowhere tho

San Antonio/Dallas/Houston/Austin have some really nice areas, and obv some bad sections too, but in my experience the negative stereotypes mostly dont apply.
