yes you may be right, but who uses it? why not discord? I mean it looks exactly the loving same as discord, and I'm pretty sure that 60% of the "pc gaming/enthusiast community" uses discord

Hm you could try running the sounds through a bit crusher, the best I got. :\

Tried messing around with a bitcrusher just now, I mean I guess if I try hard enough it could work, but it would take a lot of effort.

I enjoy using this all the time. Its 64 compatible.

I've been trying this already, it's pretty good but I haven't been able to get any great bit crunched sounds, any tips for very nes like sounds?

TB Peach (I do see it is on that list) is preset-based but has really sweet sounds. Should work with Ableton, works with FL and I think I've used it on 64 bit FL but I'm not certain.
Iunno about actual chiptune instruments.

Both peach and triforce don't seem to work, I might test them again just in case it was my file system being an ass again.

this has a lot of VSTs, famisynth may be of interest

I've tried most of these already, famisynth included, I'm not sure if it's because of lack of 64bit versions or general incompatibility with ableton. I had one or two that a tried that said they included a 64bit version, but they never worked. http://ymck.net/en/download/magical8bitplug/index.html this is what I was hoping would have a 64bit version, especially since it has an osx 64bit version, but nope, nothing. If worst comes to worst I'll just install the 32bit version of ableton, but I'd really like to not have to go through the trouble of doing that.

I'll be using it with the 64 bit version of ableton live 9, most of the 64 bit chiptune-like plugins I've tested don't work with ableton. NES/Famicom takes priority over commodore 64. Free would be nice.
