I dont mean chopping someones fingers off because they stole a candy bar. Murders should be killed in cold blood. Bigger thefts, say a bank robbery, take a finger or two. Something like that.

that'll only slow down their next robbery
they need to know why what they did is wrong, not "THAT IS WRONG SLAP ON WRISTS"
