there's a major difference between a joke such as 'meme waifus' and when somebody does legit dumb stuff, aka the contents of pictures and videos that i just posted.

Is it weird to be a mall Santa and let children you don't know sit in your lap?
Is it weird to be a easter bunny/Disney land/whatever mascot and let kids hug you?
This is the same exact stuff: people dressing up to entertain kids.
The only thing different here about furries is you have a preconceived notion against them
If the kids's hands was in the guy's crotch, and the guy wasn't doing anything about it, then obviously you'd have a point, but it's just the top of his head

you know that these kids like sitting on santa's lap because they think that it's santa that's giving them presents each christmas, right?

they have mall santa's for the spirit of the holiday, to say 'Hey, it's forgetin' christmas everybody.' or people dressing as disney mascots in disney land are just there to promote that character as a form of an attraction in that park/whatever.

i fail to see what a fursuit is promoting, or in what spirit they are dressing up as animals for.
