Andrew Jackson is a badass. You cant push Andrew Jackson into a corner like that.

1) his head is way too loving big for that body, it almost looks like it was poorly photoshopped on.

2) there is a huge difference between what actually happened and what the shortsighted chroniclers of the age portrayed in contemporary media. by most accounts, the only good thing andrew jackson ever did was encourage universal male suffrage.

ok fine maybe rome mattered
holocaust maybe to palestine

don't do this stuff and say only some of it matters. if some of it does, then all of it does. every little bit of history has far-reaching ramifications that we're still learning about today. saying that a part of history "doesn't matter" is just asinine.

sorry if i worded that wrong, but i was specifically referring to that.
the people who built the pyramids do not matter. the roman empire does not matter. slavery in the US does not matter. once the survivors are gone, the holocaust will not matter. if everyone it affected directly are gone, it does not effect us and does not matter.

also how loving shortsighted do you have to be to think that slavery in the united states does not matter, the people who build the pyramids do not matter, and the ROMAN loving EMPIRE does not matter? almost the entirety of western culture has been influenced by roman history in some way, and to say that an understanding of the roman empire is not necessary is taking out a LAAARRRGGEEE chunk of the world's history, akin to ignoring the development of the han dynasty or the middle ages. please, do not be this dumb.

the spoils system was trash and i can't believe that it was actually listed as an accomplishment.

the only decent thing jackson did was universal male suffrage. and a) that was going to come sooner or later, and b) it was just a political move to increase his power base.

Are we going to discredit Nelson Mandela for participating in and approving many terrorists acts during the Apartheid Era?
