Here are some tips, but take these with a grain of salt as I'm only Nova 3-4

  • prefire common camping area if you have the ammunition. this might take up sometime but it's better to be sure than sorry. imagine where his head will be and wall bang there.
  • never, never pull out a grenade when you were just engaged in close combat with someone and are alone. if you absolutely need to throw a grenade fall back to a safe position and do so from there
  • don't "learn" to use lots of guns. the only guns you will ever really need to know how to use are the starting pistols, the p250, the 57, the ump-45, all four assault rifles, and the awp. the alternatives to any of these weapons are worse and more expensive, the ump is the best SMG in the game despite being the second cheapest, the scout, shotguns, machine guns, and Deagle are all pretty much situational weapons, and if you know how to use an assault rifle even a FAMAS will beat a p90 at close range.

How do people get crazy weapons at those levels though?

Kept facing some guy with what looked like a crystal sword with great magic weapon and the thing did insane damage
As in an actual crystal sword or just buffed with crystals? Cus if it's a real crystal great sword then he's hacking.

wasn't there a significantly less silly film with the same premise a few hers ago that had Bradley Cooper in it?

With all of that settled, the quartermaster gets a message from the Overseer that he's coming over.
When he does come over, he speaks to you all about the upcoming mission.
"Now that you've picked everything out," he says, "It's time for the final step before we open the Vault. If you have anything to say to any loved ones, or need to tie up loose ends before you go, this is the time to do it. Captain Simmons will give you the rundown of the mission tomorrow."

You guys get some free time lucky you.

Rebellion has two meanings. One of them is the action or process of resisting authority, control, or convention. I was using it in that context, dumb ass.
Then use a different phrase starfish.

Jesus Christ how can someone be this mis-informed.

That doctor could've been my dad. He is in the MRI department of SLUH and carries.
Nah apparently he was a psychologist.

I think we need cheaper clothes for all of us
also, what does the toolbox come with?
"You can't wear your Vault jumpsuit because that screams 'WE HAVE EXPENSIVE PRE-WAR TECH, COME RAID US'. The tool box comes with pliers, wire cutters, electric screwdriver, electric drill, wrenches, stuff that would come in handy. Nothing big though, so don't expect tire irons or bolt cutters or anything. Gotta get that separately."

The Doctor collect the forms from all three of you and gives a sheet of paper.
"Go to the armory, the Quartermaster will give ya $220. Here's a list of stuff you'll be able to buy."

"Nope. Clean as a whistle."

"I've always wanted to see what the world looks like after all of this chaos. What it has to offer."
"Good! Now let me just hand you this sheet..."
He pulls out a form and juts in infront of your face.
"The pens are in that cup over there."

"Not that I know of."

"I don't understand life outside, but I'm prepared to explore."
"Also good. Here's another form."

I walk in just in time to hear the questions.
"Apparently I have a tendency to pass out, and I have chronic tinnitus."
"Outside the vault? Horrified."
"..."
He just stares at you for a few seconds.
"Just sign the damn form."

Larman gets up and walks to the doctors office, proceeding with the exam.
Dr. Fowler is there, standing next to an examination bed. The last doctor, Mr. Smith, kicked the bucket last week and now his apprentice is the doctor.
He asks you some very basic questions.

"Do you have any pre-existing medical conditions or diseases?"
Probably not. Hopefully not, or else the Vault isn't sterile like they say it is.

"Do you feel fine leaving the vault and going outside into an uncharted, potentially dangerous, wasteland?"
Apparently he's a psychologist too.
