Simon's cell phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Hey, It's Maj. Skitzorsky from Valhalla airbase. You jet should've arrived at the Kinth airfield... I have no idea why we couldn't have just left the plane at Valhalla but whatever... and you need to report back to base ASAP. Bye."

Simon turns to the captain.
"Sorry for the interruption, but I have to go. Nice talking to you."

Are you autistic?

This is a legitimate question.

Nice try NSA.

a better brown townogy would be a guy (Hamas) that fires a nerd dart in the direction of you, and you pull out an lmg and just generally fire into his general direction and hit absolutely everything around him too
an even better brown townogy would be a guy (Hamas) that fires a nerf dart in the direction of you and then hides behind his wife and child. Then you go into an army base garage, drive out a Humvee with an M2 Browning on top, and absolutely vaporize the guy and his family.

The army base belongs to the US Army btw.

"Three fighter wings? What the forget could take down three fighter wings?"

3086
"They aren't called 'Tsuyoi Shougeki' for nothing. High-velocity rounds compared to a standard pistol round, they're still gonna require some precise shooting to actually get through though. Even if there isn't entry it's still going to leave its mark."
Simon inserts the rifle and the two empty mags back into the dispenser.
"You probably know more about what's happening more than I do, since you're a, uh, captain. What I'm trying to ask is how is the war going? The television says the war is going great for us, but, uh, prior experiences have changed my views on the subject..."

3087
"Impressive. Sounds like you're more fit to be a sniper than an airman."
"I was actually slated to join the Army as a sniper but my uncle stepped in and got me a, uh, significantly less risky combat role in the form of a pilot. That was some incredible shooting by the way. Those five-seven rounds, can they pierce Zent heavy body armor, or is just a peashooter against them like all other pistol cartridges?"

3088
"Competition shooting? How many competitions did you win?"
"I think out of the 16 something competitions they held over 8 years, I won around 15 of them. Most of them weren't snap shooting, they were based around outdoors long range shots. The province I came from- New Hesse- is a very flat and windy place. There aren't any mountains, and there are hardly any hills- there's only one forest in the whole 150,000 square kilometer state, so you can see pretty far off. The shortest range was around 500m, the longest was out to about 2.5-3km."

"Five-seven Tsuyoi Shougeki rounds, actually."
She slides the magazine into the gun and unlocks the slide with a strangely elegant motion. She flips the gun in her hand and holsters it again, patiently watching.
Simon raises the rifle up, assuming the same shooting position he did before.
"100 to 90 meters again, this time with moving targets. Surprise me."
A paper target flips up on the extreme right of the 100m line and starts to zoom towards the other end of the line. Simon changes the rifle to semi-automatic operation and shoots the target once in the center of mass.

A computerized voice squaks at me from the dispenser.
"324ms from target pop-up to shot... accurate shot to the center of mass, not bad..."

Additional targets pop up- most shots land directly in the center of mass, one or two hit the outliers of the target, and only one shot missed completely.

Out of 15 targets 14 shots landed- and all in the space of around 20 seconds. That's actually really good.

"I was actually a competition shooter in the JMP groups we had when we were young. They're like, programs in high school that prepare you for military service and the draft. You don't really get a choice to enter in the program- it's mandatory for all males and females over the age of twelve. Not like anyone actually has a choice to join the military anyways, so any prior experience will help. I just happened to be the best forgetin' shot in my outfit."
