"Its a pleasure to meet you! Did you transfer from another unit?"

She grasps Tippy's hand and gives it a shake.

"Yes. I transferred in from a ground attack squadron."

Walter looks at Tippy, bristling with impaitence and almost twitching

"I don't know your motive, but you said you had short time for introductions. You can try talking to me again when youre not after something from me."

he motions his hand towards Tippy, in an attempt to end the conversation between himself and Ajka before he confirms anything. 

Ajka glares at Walt, before turning to Tippy.

"Hello. I'm Captain Gerowitz, FTGR. I've been transferred to your auxillary unit."

"Why would do you care about that plane and not a Hyperion or a Nosferatu. Normally I'd gloat, but do you think it's wise I do that here?"

"Like I said, just curious," says Ajka, with a sarcastic tone.

"You wouldn't happen to know of any video involving you and a Sol, would you?"

"It's taken more than a fair share- You don't know who I am do you? I've given you my name and you're still acting oddly friendly."

"Just curious about the matter. It's just that the Shikra has gotten quite a bit of attention over here among IZAF pilots.

Say, are there any Sols on that 'fair share' of kills you have?"

"The trophy is the original, The one I'm flying right now is called the Skepna. I don't know much about the design other than they took a lot of the good parts out of the Shikra's design and replaced it with heatsinks and a big airship cannon."

"I see."

Ajka takes a second to think about what she's going to say. She leans slightly forward, putting her hands on her hips.

"Even though the Shikra is a gunship, it's taken it's fair share of airframes, no? As a seasoned Shikra pilot, have you ever gotten any kills you were particularly proud of?"

"A modified version. The original airframe is better than that deathtrap, but I left it on the Aesthian carrier because I thought we would be hunting airships."

"Oh? So Aesthia is making their own copy of the gunship? Or is the one you have now just a modified war trophy?"

Walter glances over at Virvel and rolls his eyes back to Ajka with a slight smile on his face

"She is right though. We don't know what any of your experience is; and anybody new that doesn't adapt quickly to how we roll usually don't fare too well."

"I assure you, I'm capable of handling my self."

She takes a deep breath.

"I'll admit that what initially drew me to you was your aircraft. I haven't seen that model since the Huitzitlaotani theater collapsed. It's one of their heavy gunships, no?"

"Hello!"

Ajka turns her head to answer Tippy's greetings. She keeps a straight face but is getting a little miffed at being interrupted twice.

"Oh. Hello. Could you wait a moment?" she says in a polite but firm tone of voice.

"They wanted to have a Zentragoth on the squadron. To be frank, I think they want me to be somewhat of a watchdog. Though, considering your actions during the previous mission, I think worries about where your loyalties lie are unfounded."

: Hey, kid, are you sure you want to fly with us? The last flight of rookies we saw got smoked, maybe you should call in sick.
: Ignore her.

Ajka nods at Eremit without even dignifying Virvel's snide comment with acknowledgement.

"Noted."

"Is there a reason you came to me first over our commanding officer? I hope you don't think Im in charge here."

Ajka takes a tiny step back and tries to stifle an unsettled expression from appearing on her face.

"You just seemed the most amiable to conversation. My apologies if I troubled you."

The pilots glance at Ajka, as though expecting her to be the one to do it by merit of her speaking the most fluent Aesthian of the group.

Ajka detaches herself from the radio and gets up out of her seat.

[I'll ask him. The odds of him giving us a straight answer outright probably aren't very good, though.]

She sighs.

[I've been assigned to their unit anyways, I'm going to have to get acclimated anyways.]

She stares across the room, her eyes fixed on the pilot slouched over in a chair, speaking to another Aesthian turncoat. Ajka walks over to the pair and starts to talk to Walt in near-fluent Aesthian, with only an occasional grammatical error or pronunciation blunder. She manages to put on a faint smile and speaks in a polite tone.

"Hello. I'm Captain Gerowitz."

She sticks out her right hand, ready for a handshake.

"I've been assigned to your auxiliary unit. Since we seem to be short on time for introductions, I thought I'd get it done now."
