I thought those cards were terrible for gaming...

stuff I know nothing about business cards.

It's pretty much in the drivers. I guess they also have faster memory. The drivers are more optimized for OpenGL. Still does great for gaming. There's mixed results in loading the 8600 driver on this card. Some report higher FPS, others say it lowered it. I'm just going to stick with the proper Quadro drivers.

I'm really surprised actually. I was expecting around 30FPS.

I scored a Dell Precision M4400 on eBay for 160 bucks. Just got it today. :)
Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
Quadro FX 770M
4GB RAM

The Quadro is the business version of the 8600 GTS I believe. Plays TF2 on high at 1920x1200 at ~90FPS maxed out.

I don't see you a whole lot, and you seem like a good person.

They're made effectively to short a connection between two pins on your motherboard. It's a removable component, but it completes a circut. You move use the CMOS jumper if you want to clear your BIOS settings, for example.

I have the CMOS reset switch on my case's restart button. :)

This place isnt easy to leave

I could, but I'd be so bored in my spare time, and screw that.

Probably not. They might fix the VS for Windows 9 now that the old design team has been fired, but I doubt they'll do anything about 8. There's always this, but I haven't tried it myself: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/163725-aero-glass-for-win8-12/

Anyway, I went out and bought the 760 and holy stuff is it an improvement. I haven't really tried much gaming yet since I did a complete reinstall of Windows at the same time, but it runs Unigine Heaven at max settings, which my GTS250 could barely handle at medium-low. It also has the added benefit of not sounding like a vaccum cleaner.

My 6950 sounds like a turbine engine when I start to play games. Even idle I can hear it a bit louder than I feel I should. Every other fan in my case is nearly silent, but this thing is sooo loud. Thinking about an aftermarket cooler, but I haven't ever dealt with GPU heatsinks.
