Off Topic / Re: Interactive Desktop for linux?
« on: January 30, 2014, 09:52:15 PM »
Not sure if it works for Linux, but I use Bumptop. It's not quit what you are thinking of but it does make your desktop 100x better. It renders it as a box so you can hang items on the wall or ceiling. It's really nice for organization, and quick access. It also has free form selection of items, and you can just start type in the game of what you want to select. So you could just type "Min" and hit enter, to boot up Minecraft.

I got a massive entrepreneur le inside my nose a few years ago. It made it really hard to breath and was painful when I inhaled/exhaled. I popped it accidentally when I ran into a wall at school and it literally exploded in my nose. I had pus and blood dripping out of my nostril for the rest of the day.

The only way to get a gun in England is being in the military or a massive crime syndicate..
Plus nobody kills dogs.
actually my mom is currently defending a dude who killed like 20 puppies and kept their bodies in his attic
and a bunch of human corpses but that's not important

Game Modes / Re: Tomb Adventure - 4 MORE ENDINGS COMING SOON, PAGE 3

It's hard to work on without screwing up more stuff. The problem is that you have to work on the map without triggering any events, and reset the stuff you do work on. It's even harder to do this with helpers, because they don't  understand where everything is.

I have 3/4 endings done, but I'm gonna need some help for the last one.

Help / Re: server ping is high
« on: January 30, 2014, 04:57:34 PM »
they as in me? (were talking about my server here, btw.)
Upgrading your internet purely for good hosting speeds is a really bad idea. You should try purchasing RTB Hosting (https://hosting.returntoblockland.com/hosting) It costs 5$ a month on the best plan, and gives you access to not only great hosting speeds, but tons of neat options. You can leave the server up for months without ever joining it, and alter the server purely from the website. It has a lot of great features and it's dedicated, and it has outstanding speeds.

I got it because I couldn't host very well, and I couldn't live without it now. You should consider buying it.

how much does upgrading internet cost?
probably like $200+...
It's really not that simple. The home owner generally pays a monthly fee depending on how fast the internet is and how many devices it supports. They usually range from 25$ a month to 200$ a month.

awesome generation, it would be better with props though

reminds me of some old minecraft mod that generated massive strongholds (before they were default in the game) full of generated rooms and things, much cooler than the default one

Generally high ping just means you have bad internet, and nothing you do (other than upgrading) will help.

It's possible an add-on is lowering your speed though. Try moving your entire add-ons folder to the desktop, and launch the game. It will reinstall all default add-ons, so you'll be able to see if an add-on is slowing you down.

Help / Re: Blockland Not Writable?
« on: January 30, 2014, 04:37:12 PM »
All files that a program uses become temporarily protected by the Operating System while it's reading them. It's why you can't launch 2 Blocklands at once.

Something messed up Blockland and is causing it to not remove the effect, I'm assuming. Try moving your entire add-ons folder onto your Desktop. Make sure everything is in non Read-Only mode when launching. Open Blockland, and your missing default addons will be redownloaded. This way you'll be able to play with default addons, and see if one of the mods you have installed is causing the problem.

People that want to change blockland textures do as well.
Try highlighting the blockland folder in Documents/Blockland, right click it, and set permissions to read and write for everything.
You'll get it, just try c:
What the hell are you talking about? We've already been over this.
Please get a basic idea of what you are talking about before posting in the HELP section.

Drama / Re: Ephialites - Stupid key stealer
« on: January 29, 2014, 06:58:12 PM »
Guys grow the hell up. He's clearly young and while it seems like common sense not to do so I'm sure everyone here has given away a password or key before accidentally. Even if you dislike him, the drama isn't about him. He didn't do anything damaging to the other people, and you should be piling up on Spencer for stealing keys, rather than the victim.

If Spencer uses his key it'll get revoked like the others. He'll have to buy another one and I'm sure he will have learned. Saying not to give your key out is completely useless at this point.

I think this sort of activity should get you instantly banned or revoked upon joining, in the same way Okiver and MARBLE MAN are. It's one thing to troll a server or bother users, acts which can be solved by banning, but stealing products is a crime and should be punished.

Help / Re: Blockland crashes in singleplayer after about 10 mins

If you want people to be able to identify the problem you'll have to post a console log of the crash.
