Modification Help / Fastmapler's Add-On Dump
« on: April 29, 2021, 03:55:18 PM »
I figured that having my add-ons wasting away in my folder will do no good, so I decided to post them online so they can be downloaded. Contains various projects I made over the years, including Underground War, Solar Apocalypse Expanded, and others. There is a text file with an overview of the add-ons.

On that note, many of these add-ons are unstable or require prior setup for them to work properly.

Add-Ons / [Item/Weapon Pack] Wolfenstein 3D
« on: April 02, 2021, 02:25:57 PM »
This set of various items is one of my first add-ons I made. Having it sit in my folder rotting away is probably not a good idea so I decided to fix it up and release it.

Wolfenstein 3D Pack

About
This is a pack of a large variety of weapons and pickups from the original Wolfenstein 3D. The pack has three different sections: Weapons, Score pickups and Health pickups. Comes with a variety of RTB prefs to allow you to enable/disable particular items and change item preferences to suit your server's play style.

General Discussion / Contact for Xalos?
« on: April 19, 2020, 10:41:26 PM »
I am looking to contact Xalos, but his forum account has not been active for a long time and does not seem to be in any of the blockland related discords I am in. Any information (steam, discord) will be helpful.

edit: Got it

Add-Ons / [Weapon] BFG10k
« on: October 25, 2019, 02:41:21 PM »
This is a weapon I made that has been sitting on my hard-drive for some time.

BFG10k

About
The BFG10k is an automatic plasma cannon. Hold down mousefire1, and lay waste! Just don't fire for too long since this weapon tends to heat up very quickly.

General Discussion / Fastmapler's Pile of Servers
« on: December 28, 2018, 11:04:32 PM »
I have hosted a few servers, but I never posted anything about them. So here they are...

Solar Apocalypse Expanded
That gamemode where you burn and die a lot

Gamemode

Solar Apocalypse Expanded is a modified version of Xalos' original Solar Apocalypse gamemode with many new features.

Features

  • ModTer terrain
  • Monsters, occasional scheduled swarms, rare boss battles
  • New materials for building and crafting
  • New items made just for Solar Apoc (potions, hand cranks, blueprints, etc.)
  • Machinery with individual models and a wiring system (i.e. Solar panels, batteries, ore grower, bioreactor, nuclear reactor, etc.)
  • A powered solar suit for venturing out in the day and a radiation suit for collecting radioactive materials
  • Item crafting system (crafting recipes acquired via blueprints)
  • Spell system wip (i.e. summon water to use in cooking or shoot fireballs at monsters)
  • New commands such as /donate
  • A nice looking sky and day/night cycle
  • Achievements
  • 4 possible endings

and a bunch more other stuff

Underground War
The classic CTF map with a few additions...
dont kill me for making this thanks

Gamemode

Underground War is a CTF map where you dig tunnels under the map to reach the other team's flag. Gain points by capping and getting kills to buy a wider variety of weapons. The gamemode is classically a CTF by default but can run KOTH.

Features

  • Digging
  • The sniper from the classic Underground War which can only shoot once every ten years like in the original
  • Almost identical weapons to the original game
  • The Prop Tool
  • Added a shotgun that shoots
  • Capture point in the middle underground

Prop Hunt
Hunt down sentient bricks

I'm typing all this sleepily in my bed and I cant find a proper photo so im gonna use this until i find one

Gamemode

This version of Prop Hunt is an operational version of Zapk's original gamemode. Players are split into hunters and props. Props are given time to hide by turning themselves into a brick they choose on the map, hunters try to find and kill the props before time runs out.

Features

  • Props can play custom taunt sounds. Most taunts are early 2010's memes from the original gamemode, but I've added a few more
  • Custom death sounds for props
  • The gamemode works (pretty often)
  • Different environments and round rules for each map (i.e. round duration, hiding time, lava/water hazard, number of rockets hunters start with, etc.)

Anonymous Land
oh gosh what oh no aaa

Gamemode

Inspired by Visolator's original gamemode, this gamemode allows players to build with anonymity. In placement of a player's regular BL_IDs, a unique BL_ID will be created.

Features

  • Players are completely anonymous (Username, avatar, BL_ID.)
  • Multiple items and special bricks to play around with.
  • A separate trust system through the /trust command.

Github Link

This file has two options: A blank UI Name scanner and a gamemode add-on list creator. The name scanner allows you to select a BLS file and scans for bricks with blank UI names (which often causes a save file to be "corrupt"). The gamemode add-on list creator takes an ADD_ON_LIST.cs file, which is usually in .\config\server\, and creates a text file with all the enabled add-ons listed for a gamemode's gamemode.txt.

Requires .NET 4.5

  • Press Cancel Brick to toggle brick name saving (also if enabled in Preferences)

Add-Ons / [HatMod Script] Node Hiding + Player Hats
« on: May 05, 2018, 10:27:19 PM »
This add-on allows users to force hide specific nodes on the player or re-enable the default player hat. This can be useful for hiding the nodes on the player for a TheHoff-like hat or keeping the player's hat when wearing a scarf.

To set the node setting of a hat: (Everything is case-sensitive)
  • Create a text file named "<HatName>_Nodes.txt" (i.e. Scarf_Nodes.txt) in the same file of the model file.
  • To hide nodes, add a line saying "forceHide <nodeA> <nodeB> <etc...>" (Another typo. Thanks Mr. Nobody)
  • To keep the player hat, add a line saying "keepPlayerHat".

Download

Example Files:
Dominus Hat - Smaller Hats that hide the head node.
TestScarf - the scarf from HatMod_Jake that keeps the player hat.

Update 5/5/18: Fixed a bug where nodes may not reappear when switching hats.

If you have been to my server, you probably know that there are other roblox hats. Those hats are in another hatpack made by somebody else. I personally imported these hats so I am releasing them now.

General Discussion / What hatpacks would you like to see on a server?
« on: February 08, 2018, 10:21:52 AM »
I plan on potentially hosting a server with HatMod. there are a bunch of good hatpacks in the archive but I can’t have all of them enabled since they will make file downloading too long, especially with hat items enabled. what hatpacks do you think are essential to any server?

Help / Building and destroying bricks on floating bricks
« on: July 24, 2017, 05:42:26 PM »
(if this can only be answered through a server script then this should be in mod discussion)

I have been using Ghost's new PTG, and I have been generating large pieces of terrain using it. The issue is that since the generated bricks are floating, bricks I place on them can't be removed by a hammer. Dwanding these bricks breaks all of the connected bricks. There does not seem to be a ground filling option for the new PTG, unlike the old one on RTB (unless I completely missed it). Is there a way to place and destroy bricks on a floating brick as if it were a grounded brick?

Suggestions & Requests / Xalos' Solar Apocalypse Download
« on: July 16, 2017, 09:42:33 AM »
I tried looking through the forum for Xalos' Solar Apoc gamemode, but the google links are dead, and his add-on dump does not contain the gamemode. I looked at other people's posts, but nobody seemed to link the gamemode. Does anybody have the file?
