I usually find that Glass crashes BL when you host a server, so try removing it from your add-on folder.
Return of Blockland is also outdated so I would recommend removing that if removing Glass does not work.

The Add-Ons, saves, screenshots, and config folder of your blockland directory (The whole directory is fine too)
Any word document in the document folder

If your external hard drive has enough space, you could just backup the Program Files, Program Files x86, and the Users directory just to be safe.

Ask your roommate if he has some spare money. Even though he does not have the full 250 dollars, he may be able to pay some of the money now and then you can use that money to pay off the bill. Unless he has no money to pay you back at all or if he needs to give all 250 back at once.

There are many gamemodes within the rtb archive that people enjoy, but rarely get hosted. You can check out swollow’s rtb archive at http://swololol.com/rtb and see what gamemodes have not been hosted in awhile.

no, because blockland only clears out the first 5 slots because its hardcoded, the developer of extra slots didn't add anything to correct this
I remember Player_DifferentSlotPlayers (rtb addon) had code which fixed this, but for some reason the cs file was never executed within the server.cs along with a few other playertypes included in the pack. I have used the code in my own servers, and it seems to work.

When you make the server thread in General Discussion, add a server image which shows the activity of the server. Pecon’s Boss Battle thread uses one of these.

Along with making the server thread, post a message about it on the #advertising section of the bcc discord.

Once you start hosting, grab a few friends to stay on the server for a bit. Once the player count is noticable, other people looking for servers will join and make the server popular.

It's been roughly 24 hours now.
I had an issue similar to that awhile ago and I sent a support ticket. Apparently there was some corruption issue with the server migration awhile ago. Try sending a support ticket and see if you are having the same issue.

i know nobody will really use this but the visor has a bug where it cant be forcefully unhidden unless you change your avatar to have a helmet at least once, after which unhiding the visor works fine.

I don't know why i encountered this issue but i've recreated it like 3 times at random and it really bothers me
I checked this issue on default freebuild and it still happens. This may just be a bug within blockland.

I have also updated the script to fix a bug that may cause body parts to not reappear after swapping hats. Delete your current version and re-download the file from the op.

Does "keepPlayerHat" also work like in the TestScarf example file?
Also, could you add a list of nodes for reference? I don't have one handy.
I made a typo in the op. You should use "keepPlayerHat" to keep the hat rather than showPlayerHat. You can find the list of nodes in the same directory as m.dts in a bunch of text files. What is not included in those files is "ALL" which is all of the nodes, and "headskin" which is just the head.

This add-on allows users to force hide specific nodes on the player or re-enable the default player hat. This can be useful for hiding the nodes on the player for a TheHoff-like hat or keeping the player's hat when wearing a scarf.

To set the node setting of a hat: (Everything is case-sensitive)
  • Create a text file named "<HatName>_Nodes.txt" (i.e. Scarf_Nodes.txt) in the same file of the model file.
  • To hide nodes, add a line saying "forceHide <nodeA> <nodeB> <etc...>" (Another typo. Thanks Mr. Nobody)
  • To keep the player hat, add a line saying "keepPlayerHat".

Example Files:
Dominus Hat - Smaller Hats that hide the head node.
TestScarf - the scarf from HatMod_Jake that keeps the player hat.

Update 5/5/18: Fixed a bug where nodes may not reappear when switching hats.
