This cat is quite clearly standing up like a human, politely requesting attention like a human, and being petted. Hell I'd even bet afterwards it says "Thanks madam, that was purrfect" and gives her a $20 tip.

Don't underestimate cats bucko. mawty taught me that a long time ago.

The cat is asking for food instead the human pets the cat and the cat is annoyed that it isn't getting food.

I'm pretty sure the cat isn't asking for a hug. You have to realize that most of these emotions you think the cat is doing is just a coincidence because a cat does not possess specific human emotions. If you think a cat is smiling, it really isn't. It's just the way the cat looks because of its mouth. If you think a cat needs a hug, it doesn't. It's just stretching.
