Games / Spymaster
« on: January 29, 2015, 05:25:05 PM »

About
Spymaster is a free, light strategy game available for the iPad. In it, you control a ring of World War II-era spies working against the Axis. Your spies come in all different categories, nationalities, and callsigns. You conduct dozens of round-based operations with your elite spies with hefty rewards.

Spies & Categories
Spies vary from player to player, but there are two default spies: Charlie and Lucy. Charlie is a British Saboteur and Lucy is a Canadian Pianist. You can obviously recruit more spies and level them up using gold, which is given in good amount at the end of every mission. Spies become more expensive to obtain the more you get them.
There are four main categories of spies: Saboteurs, Pianists, Recruiters, and Hitmen. Saboteurs can raid train depots and factories with the team and earn extra time on your missions. Pianists can set up radiso and transmit intel to use in raids and missions. Recruiters can recruit spy rings faster and move around the map quicker. Hitmen can lead the team in taking out Gestapo guards.

Stress & Injuries
Spymaster is a strategy game, so you need to manage stress and injuries carefully. When a spy does too many things without a rest in between, they will become stressed. When an gent is stressed, they have a higher chance of getting injured. Once a spy becomes injured, they will need to patch him or herself up for a few rounds. If a spy is incredibly injured (around 4 injuries) they will have the chance of getting captured. You will need to rescue them in the same operation or else you will have to use gold to rescue them or abandon them to be brutally tortured and most likely gassed by the national socialists. :(

Players
Post your name if you play Spymaster!

Off Topic / The BLF Conspiracy Game - DAY 3 ENDS WEDNESDAY 7:00 PM EST
« on: December 30, 2014, 10:54:48 PM »
Game leader: Eden
Number of players: 12

Story Line:
It was an average day on the forum. People were spamming garbage in the Off Topic
section and Drama was filled with unnecessary trash. The usual. However, at exactly 2:08:12 PM,  Badspot posted a thread. Its contents follows:
"lol idoit i haked badpost nwo yuo r all goig to b banned!!1!1!1!"
Some people figured it as a joke from our Glorious Leader, but it was real. All of Badspot's websites had been wiped completely and the Blockland server was down. People were panicking, and in the midst of it all, Kompressor made a topic. The content follows:
"yeauh badpots i haked komprezzor!111! let's team up"
A few minutes later, another post came from Rotondo.
"YOU TOO ARE MORANS!!1 ILL GIT THE BOTH OF YU!"
It was another hour of confusion and hysteria before Idle made a post.
"LMFOA I GOT IDEL!!!1! ROTOTODODO LETZ TEAM UP AND TAEK DOWN BADSTOP AND KOMPISSER!!1!1!"
It was insane. The two duos went at each other, banning users left and right in a competition of sorts. At this point, there are 12 active users left, but the 4 hackers are in that group...

Roles/Identities
If you decide to play (which you better) you will be sent a role and identity sometime after enough people have joined the game. Your identity will be the name of an actual forumer, so say for instance Georges gets the identity of Maxx. Your role will be what, well, role you serve in the game. Your role could be a hacker, a protector, or just a regular forumer with no speciality. Any questions, please PM me or ask them down below.

The Day And Voting
Each 'day' will last 3 real life days. During the day, players will try to figure out who the hackers are. Every in game day, a person must be lynched. Votes for who will be lynched are broadcasted like so:
++Eden
To remove a vote for somebody, you do like so:
--Eden
At the end of the day, the person with the most votes dies. To keep track of the votes, Vote Counts will be posted a few times each in game day. You may choose to abstain from voting during a day, but be warned: you WILL have a forced vote the next day. If you still do not vote on the day you have a Forced Vote, you will be dropped from the game. If in the case someone is dropped, a replacement player will be sought after. If no replacement is found, your character will be killed. If in the case nobody votes during a day, a person will be randomly elected to be killed. Any questions should be asked below.

The Night
The Night lasts for one real-life day. In this time called the night, players with special roles will send in their duties. For example, one of the hacker duos must send in the name of somebody to 'banned' (killed) each night. Badspot&Kompressor will ban every odd night, while Rotondo&Idle will ban every even night. There are other innocent roles that do things during the night, but there aren't too many. Any questions should be asked below.

Winning
The innocent people (The Forumers) will win when all four hackers are dead.
The first hacker team (BADSPOT and KOMPRESSOR) will win when all Forumers are dead AND Rotondo & Idle are dead.
The second hacker team (ROTONDO and IDLE) will win when all Forums are dead AND BADSPOT & KOMPRESSOR are dead.

Other Rules
-Do not tell your identity to ANYBODY privately so you can "team up". If I find out that something like this has happened, you will be kicked out and banned from any future conspiracy games.
-You can not share your identity on the thread. You can not even tell your characters name. You just have to convince other players of why you would not be a villain or why other players are clearly more likely to be villains.
- You CAN lie about your identity. Of course, if you’re an innocent, there’s no need to lie, but if you’re a villain, you can lie that you are an other character. This MIGHT buy you one more day, but remember that the real Lego lad or Eden is out there and probably will tell that you are lying!
- If a player hasn't woken up for the day, you can give the player a "wake up vote". A wake up vote doesn't mean anything, you don't even have to have suspicions. It will just force the sleeping player to wake up. Once the player has woken up, the vote can be removed, although you can be a douche and keep it there.

How to sign up:
Comment on this thread with ”I’m in” or ”Count me in” or even ”o/” etc. It doesn’t matter what you say, I just need to know that you are actually signing up, not just spamming.

Off Topic / So, I'm back.
« on: December 30, 2014, 09:04:33 PM »
"Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving."
- Terry Pratchett

I'm back, my darling America. I left around 8 months ago due to personal reasons I'd rather not talk about; you understand. But I'm back. I won't be as active as I was, but I'm here. Carpe diem.
