Things that we find normal may be seen as weird in other cultures or vice versa.

I'd say we our better of than our ancestors, however I will say as a society are going backwards in some places. For example, making fun of events like Pearl Harbor and 9/11 use to be a big no-no, now it is something annoying kids do to pretend to cope with a tragedy that they never cared about in the first place. A lesser example is someone sending a text to someone else 5 inches away from them when all they had to do is talk.
"you know what the youth of today are doing? this thing called existentialism, and rejecting god! it's ridiculous and blasphemous! i'm telling you, society is going downhill fast. Soon everyone will believe in the abyss ad there will be Self Delete clinics on every street!"

you know, that's a really good way to put it.

"why can't you be civilized like we are now?"

that's just unreasonable to think.

lol broken quote
im not sayin civilized like america, i'm not about to go down the white man's burden path, i'm just saying that most of the world isn't killing eachother. i personally believe humanity tends to gravitate towards stability rather than chaos, and yeah, a lot of stability is achieved through blowing up farmers.

I didn't mean human in the sense that they deserve human treatment. What I meant to say was, they are susceptible to the same weaknesses as any other human. I agree with you that any militants must be apprehended, but I guess the difference in our arguments is that I'm arguing more on the basis of Machiavellian ideals. We can agree to disagree on the means, but we do agree that ISIL fighters should be used as examples and imprisoned.
i think everyone deserves human treatment because we've all got eyes and colons and large intestines - we're all human, we all feel and have white blood cells. the way you treat people shouldn't be based on seeing them as an inanimate object, it should be on what you believe in, whether that's good or bad. historically, seeing people as sub-human has never resulted in anything great - slavery, the holocaust, the slaughter of the native americans, caste system, etc.

but america needs to stop putting its boots down in the middle east. it's terrible what's going on, and i don't think we should just let em kill each other, but i think that the middle east is having a bloody period that will ultimately lead to peace and unification, to a degree. they're just having it so late that nobody can comprehend them having this period now, cus we all had it a couple hundred years ago.

They do not have any moral values, so why should we.
what happened to "all terrorists are human"?

also, why should we stoop to CIA's tactics? if you believe they're deplorable then we should be the better people and imprison these motherforgeters, try em for their crimes.
If we can prove that someone has ties to ISIL, there should be no mercy and no loving around. forget with their minds, make them live in fear of the West. We have the power to destroy them, at only the expense of looking brutal.
i agree that if someone has ties to CIA they should be apprehended asap, but keep in mind, arab countries already live in fear of the west - we have a whole bunch of nukes.

people always say we should just nuke the middle east cus they're an eyesore, but ironically they're only looking at what the media has shown you about the middle east. There are plenty of progressive people over there. the media only shows you people yelling and shooting guns cus "normal iranians get a cup of coffee" isn't a great story.

It worked in the past. Terrorists are people too, they can be threatened.
A. do we really aspire to be like the USSR, lol? look at russia now.
B. in foreign policy, you want to look for a long-term solution. if someone is getting cut, and you keep immediately putting band-aids on each cut, they'll be safe from infection, but it's guaranteed they'll get cut again. Give them bandages and protective wear and they'll be safer.

getting CIA leaders and cutting off their balls is only going to give negative attention to the country who did it, and anger the terrorists. I don't like isil one bit, but
Terrorists are people too

Good thing ISIL isn't covered under the Geneva convention. I'd say capture Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi/similarly high ranking official's relatives, castrate them, and send the parts to a known ISIL member, a la the USSR. Then kill the relative and release the video to ISIL.
cus that'll pacify em.

no terrorist has ever retaliated to anything ever

I don't like you. I also don't hate you. You are neutral to me.
which is also how probably 99% of the community thinks about anyone

people get too caught up in thinking EVERYONE LOVES/HATES ME, don't kid yourself, most people don't know/care who you are

see look i even fooled myself :
people all like me

i'm sayin nal should do whatever he thinks he should do, regardless of what anyone thinks, cus ultimately it won't really matter.

why should he bother changing anyways, you guys are just going to continuously bring up 'oh look at this ___ you did in the past' yadadadadadadad

this forums has a double standard and it's hypocrisy is abysmal
objects at rest tend to stay at rest

richards usually tend to stay richards. keyword usually.

hell i dunno why people all like me, lol, i've done just as much bad stuff as he has.

listen regardless of what i think of nal

i don't think he's gonna change because he doesn't have any reason to change; he's got his friends, he hasn't been banned yet, etc.

the reason why it seems people on BL never change is cause it's difficult to care about changing when there's no real ramifications for doing so. the only thing that really changes people is maturity

Hi guys
I've been addicted to monster energy drinks for a while now. Used to drink one daily for more than a year. Decided to quit launch 2015, now it's racked up to a total of 2 a day.
Behind this I drink about 3-6 cups of coffee at home.

Following this I very often nap too.
I'm a very tired person.
i used to be that bad, at this point i don't even feel caffeine - i can literally drink a monster and then go to sleep a minute afterwards.
