Well white protags pass pretty often because they're similar (or almost exactly alike) to japanese protags.

Too bad the anime didn't get the attention it deserved for being something new.

the more i watch it the more like, i realize how much stuff it's doing i've never seen before

Guys, sorry to interrupt but I was looking for a series somewhat similar to Elfen Lied, Mirai Nikki, Berserk and Hellsing. Pure gore and, if possible, with some hentai or ecchi (:3). Doesn't matter if it's an anime or a manga. Could someone recommend some titles to me?

Yeah it's kinda hard to find anime with casting of different ethnicities from the norm.

In fact MtH is the only one I found

yeah, it's interesting, definitely a risk to essentially have an anime with a latina and a white girl as the main characters.

and ofc the music (shinichiro watanabe directed) is awesome, i've been trying to find the acoustic guitar song that was playing during the "monotone of rain" episode

michiko to hatchin is forgetin BALLER. definitely a good one. love the mother-daughter dynamic goin on. also anime set in central america is the rarest stuff so i'm a big fan of that.

spongebob is holding the sub, similar to how the water held up the german underbotten that sunk the lusitania. this is obviously an allusion to the beginning of WW2
