if you click on the facebook link and scroll a bit, there are a few posts that contain the name Plastiware. plus, you can just look his name in the registry and you'll see the glasses pic. it's definitely him

i've tried to explain blf to a few irl friends, most didn't care at all except just one. i recommended him a read-through of some classic discussions/dramas, which he found pretty entertaining. for a time it was actually kind of novel to be able to talk about blf stuff to someone from a totally different social circle

....that is until he started repeating references to me that i didn't teach him, unprompted

General Discussion / Blockland on Steam Deck
« on: July 29, 2022, 12:28:55 AM »
My Steam Deck came in the mail today, and of course the first game I had to try out was Blockland. And despite the "unknown" compatibility rating from steam, it actually worked on the first try.

I joined Age of Dungeons, and playing online felt normal.

I tried hosting and while no one joined me, I did try loading in a ton of default saves, and it handled it just fine.

I'd describe the controls as good enough for just playing casually, but probably definitely unusable for building. Surprisingly, there was a community bind made for the deck, revealing that someone tried this before me. The other issue I had was the inability to run shaders above minimum. Setting any higher would immediately crash the game.

It's pretty interesting to see how far SteamOS and Proton have come, considering how well blockland used to run (I wonder if Badspot still has that steam machine....) But yeah, if you felt the need to play blockland on the go, it does indeed work on the Steam Deck. Assuming you can get used to playing with controller binds.

i don't understand the gun hobby, like genuinely. could someone kindly explain it to me? collecting stuff is cool, little machines are cool, but is that all there is to it? obviously you can shoot le gun but i get the feeling that the novelty would wear out after a little while.

Here's a shot in the dark, I bet a million dollars you wouldn't keep coming back to this thread to defend the alleged child enthusiasts if none of them had anything to do with brickadia.
my brother in Christ, no one would be responding to this thread if it wasn't related to brickadia

Without mods, Minecraft would've probably gone under during 1.8.
more people have bought the game on console/mobile (non moddable) than pc (moddable)
