Help / (still) Can't see faces/decals

They just don't show up. Is there any way I can fix this?
1. Reinstalling doesn't work.
2. The original launcher works, but I don't want to pay another 10 dollars for it.
3. Even with no add-ons they don't appear.
4. Face_Default is in my add-ons folder.
5. I'm on a mac and using steam.

I read the console.log, it didn't say anything bad about the add-on when it loaded. (as far as I can tell)
