I get this same problem when trying to play The Ship. I've been able to play previously without a problem, and I have had problems like this during periods of high traffic (sales, large updates, etc.) so I would wait until the day after tomorrow and try again. If the problem isn't resolved, try Corbiere's solutions. They don't seem to work for me, but they may work for you.
In fact, occasionally go here. At the top, you should see a time at which the stats were last updated. If the time is more than 20 to 30 minutes behind, then the servers are handling heavy traffic and rerouting their resources to higher traffic games.

By the way, the train ride was four hours long from Broward County to Kissimee Florida.
I know for a fact that station is by the Bass Pro Shop because I saw the animal shelter in the background for a moment.
