"Eric, wait!"
I yelled after him as he sprinted like a bat out of hell towards the hangar. I pulled the Five Seven back towards me, looked at it a moment, and flicked off the safety. I then proceeded to pull out my P99, and duel wield the two guns, running after Eric.
The tarmac was blackened, and was practically radiating heat as I sprinted after Eric, almost tripping and twisting my ankle twice. The air became dense as I practically flew into the hangar, which was very cold. I cupped my hands, and called out, "Eric! It's okay, we won't hurt you! We want to help you!"
There was no response but the echo of my voice bouncing off the cold, sheet metal walls. I flicked the safeties on my guns, and holstered them. Suddenly, I heard a clanking noise. "Eric?"
It was coming from the back of the hangar, behind a wall. I began to walk slowly to the back of the hangar, as the clanking noise turned to scratching, then moaning. The problem wasn't avoidable. I was going to have to fight zombies.
I pulled out my guns, and flicked the safeties back off, before turning the corner.
There were 6 zombies in mechanic suits, they all worked for United. Their suits were covered in oil and fuel, and they began to flaunt their sharp claws before screaming at me with their inhuman voices before running at me. I pulled the triggers, sending 5 bullets flying. 3 of them hit their mark, and it sent a zombie falling to the ground bleeding profusely. The other 5 began to slash towards me feebly, and I ran faster out into the front of the hangar.
As I ran into the front of the hangar, I found a blow torch sitting in the back of a truck. The blow torch had a fuel tank attached, and I picked it up, and slid it across the floor, tripping a few zombies. I then aimed carefully at the tanks, and pulled the trigger on the Five Seven.
The tank blew up in a burst of fire, setting the zombies aflame, and the the flame spreading to the oil tanks in the back.
"Oh stuff.."
I ran out of the hangar as fast as I could, and watched as the hangar exploded into a fireball, sending shrapnel and shards of glass and wood into the air. "Eric.."
I walked back to the plane, and Michelle inquired of me, "Did you get that guy back?"
"He's probably dead. Did you just see what happened?" I pointed open palmed to the flaming wreckage, flustered. She could sense that I was upset, and pulled me in for a hug. She released me and suggested, "You should go get the fuel truck so we could get out of here."
I nodded, and walked away.
