For ages, me and my dad have fished in the lake behind my house. Now, our neighborhood is generally quiet, and everybody keeps to themselves. But a couple months ago, a couple families moved into a house down the street, which is also on the lake. These new people got really pissed off two or three months ago about us moving along the shoreline behind their house, despite their lot ending 25 feet from the shoreline. Simply put, they have no jurisdiction over the shoreline. Anyway, a month after they got really pissed, they began building a fence on BOTH sides of their property, ending over the shoreline, making the strip of land within the fence restricted, as well as the land behind it impassable. Apparently, they had a beef with the family on the corner also, so they put up ANOTHER loving FENCE restricting them too. They can't even go to the right of their own damn property. They didn't even build the loving fence on their property! Recently, we had to buy a canoe just so we can fish the shoreline.

A week before the Screen Writers Guild strike, my mom had bought tickets for Spamalot on Broadway. I was so excited. While we were on the plane, the strike began. We found out after we got off, and all the stagehands went on strike, leaving all the musicals and plays to shut down indefinitely.

Our showing was the day after the stagehands went on strike. I was extremely upset.
