Server just restarted, we're back to 1950.
What we'll do is Tom will deal with the server during the week, while I'll manage it on the weekends. I'm too busy during the week to moderate and play, unfortunately.

Actually, I just restarted it, so you can get your companies built. It's back to temperate, 1024x1024 because of size complaints. Mountainous. Come on in!

here's around thirty minutes of several people wasting all their money trying to flood the entire map and create chaos in the endgame of one of munk's old servers, in professionally unedited recording
tho we had already blown a ton of money on stuff like exclusive rights wars and flooding

Okay, so here are the changes I have made per requests.
No more exclusive rights.
The map is now arctic, and has a size of 512x512.
There are no planes or aircraft permitted in this reset.
Everything else remains the same.

In the server browser, click 'Add server' and enter the IP. It should come up.

We're about to hit 2069 at the time of this post, so just a few things about next restart:

We're about to hit 2069 at the time of this post, so just a few things about next restart:
- Whether or not it will be a desert map, I don't know. Be prepared for it just in case.
- I asked Tom if it was possible to disable monopolization and he said yes, so if that's not disabled for this next iteration, it will be for the one after this. A lot of complaints were arising regarding monopolies and I have to agree that it makes things a lot more difficult and a lot less fun.
- We've been encountering some issues with signs and using trains to kill buses and stuff. I mean, openly competing with companies in the same region as them and funding road reconstruction to forget them over is fine, but please don't excessively restrict construction with signs or ruin transport routes. You know who you are.
- Captain Zee is going to probably show up, so we've already lost.

So at the moment, we're experiencing some connection issues with our VPS. If you time out or begin losing communication with the server, rejoin or give the server some time. You should reconnect in a few seconds.
We'll be changing to a 512x512 map next session.
