Dude, the ARG isn't even over yet. What about Michael Hammond? What about the rooms, and the censored material? What about the previous owners of the game who left the notes with the disc? What about Care's dad? And who the player character is (as in the character controlled in the game)? Who is TOOL? There's way more that's completely missing from this puzzle, this isn't just about Cadence, this is about multiple children who have been through traumatic experiences that are manifesting in this game.

Absoforgetin'lutely. I'm saying once you get in with Cadence, the whole thing falls apart because you go from 'what happened to these kids' to 'dead kids'. Not knowing what happened is a hell of a lot scarier than knowing the full story. It's the reason we don't see Sadako (The Ring for you cucks without Google) starve in the well or if the pelican (Who Goes There) was really a Thing or just a bird.
You wanna hear some horror? Watch Samurai Jack. Think about how much time would've passed between Jack getting thrown into the future and landing. The world gets totally obliterated and remade. Think about how many people got killed in genocides out of boredom on Aku's part.
Makes the series a hell of a lot darker, right? It's not the 'people were killed' bit, that's boring. It's the sheer number and the fact you never see them, your mind is open to guess at what's going on.

My point is this: The ARG threw it's punchline too early and now it's going to have to reel like a motherforgeter to get people drawn in. Right now it's working on the fact that we have no idea what the hell is actually going on or what anything represents. Giving overt hints at child abuse is one thing, namedropping one of the most famous cases is another.

The ARG is pretty much solved.
It's a reference to Cadence Newmaker.

Cadence Newmaker was killed during a 'rebirthing session'. Get your mind out of the gutter, it's not what it sounds like. The idea was that you compress blankets all around a child so they can re-experience the feeling of being born. It's supposed to help foster children connect better with their new parents, like in Cadence's case.
It didn't work.
The 'quitter's room' is a reference to the fact that the people holding her down barked "Quitter, quitter, quitter, quitter, quit, quit, quit, quit! She's a quitter!". Cadence died of suffocation while bound in blankets. The people who killed her didn't even get life sentences. Several are currently on parole.
Here's a transcript of the session. It's a little heavy.

Personally, I don't think smashing your audience over the head with the hints is a good way to run an ARG. The instant people figure the mystery out, the instant people lose interest. Like I said, fantastic amounts of work put in, terribly written story.

Bad ARG with a lot of good work put in. Wish it had better writers.

I'm not Tony.
Seriously though, I'm not.

The situation has 'stabilized', but the fact remains that those subhuman monkeys are trying to get into the Philippines. If anyone lives on that tiny island, please stay safe.

Edit: News TLDR:
Radical islamic apes were attacking a city in the Philippines. They aren't right this second, apparently.

Old unfinished Overgrowth mod someone made. I had a nightmare about having my skin ripped off and my brain harnessed for the processing unit of a robot rabbit soldier. I kept my consciousness through the process.

If we started gassing terrorists we capture after force-feeding them pork this stuff would stop.

Imagine if Zenyatta's reload animation was the monkey from Johnny Bravo. Or that 'spinning fist' dance.
