Keep it realistic and serious. I'm not asking you not to make silly edits or other stuff, but none of those will be "canon" or whatever. I'll be editing the actual image and putting the storyline together.

A few months from now, an experiment goes wrong. Or something. A new virus appears, and it's every apocalypse loonie's wet dream. Long story short, it turns people into zombies. It's mostly transmitted by bites, but one can also get infected purely by contact, and, if locally, by air. Once infected, the user takes anywhere between 48 hours to a week to turn.

The virus appeared in some god-forsaken African country, but containing it has been very difficult. Thankfully, its spread isn't fantastically fast. Scientists estimate that its spread to where you happen to live might take anywhere between two and four months. Not too much time to prepare, but some.

To the point, though. You happen to have a small stretch of land in the middle of a field. Very small. About... sixteen meters long, and only about 6 or so wide. A quick geological brown townysis that was done on the area shows that the topsoil is reasonably deep, going down to about 12-15 meters. Some of the areas in the field - including most of your plot - present a layer of clay as well. The topsoil is generally dotted with large-ish rocks, though further down they get more common, and about 15 or so meters down, you can reach a layer of much tougher rock, which may be very difficult to break using the tools you have on hand.

You have some funds on hand, and the virus looks like a very serious problem. You've decided to use your plot to make a bunker. Sure, it's not very big, but once the apocalypse actually starts, you doubt anyone will mind you stretching out of your boundaries. The time is now, though, and you don't have a lot of it. How do you begin?

Suggestions & Requests / A question about viewmodel FOV
« on: August 06, 2016, 11:08:13 AM »
some games like tf2 and such have a separate option for FOV, apart from the usual player FOV - for viewmodels. i was wondering if a clientside mod that would modify such a property in blockland would be possible? really big viewmodels make some weapons like the RL akimbo and stuff quite annoying to use

Games / did any of yall play v3: Yager
« on: August 06, 2016, 05:59:20 AM »
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yager

Yager is a combat flight simulator video game developed by Yager Development and was first released as an Xbox exclusive before later being ported to Microsoft Windows. In this game, gamers take on the role of Magnus Tide, a freelance pilot adventurer. Yager is set over 20 levels in which the player takes possession of various weapons and ships in an effort to accomplish each mission. The game, while well-received critically, was not a commercial success, largely in part due to a delayed North American release amidst a lack of advertising.

fun game

About
______________________________________________

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (abbreviated as CS:GO) is an online first-person shooter developed by Valve Corporation and Hidden Path Entertainment, who also maintained Counter-Strike: Source after its release. It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike franchise, excluding Neo and Online.

Counter Strike Global Offensive was released on August 21, 2012, and made available for Microsoft Windows and OS X on Steam, Xbox Live Arcade, and a US-only version on PlayStation Network. It features classic content, such as revamped versions of classic maps; as well as brand new maps, characters and game modes. Cross-platform multiplayer was planned between Windows, OS X and PSN players, but was ultimately limited to Windows and Mac OS because of the differences in update-frequency between systems. The PSN version offers three input control methods, which include using either the DualShock 3 controller, PlayStation Move or USB keyboard/mouse.

Gameplay
______________________________________________

Like the previous games in the series, Global Offensive is an objective-based multiplayer first-person shooter. Each player joins either the Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist team and attempts to complete objectives or eliminate the enemy team. The game operates in short rounds that end when all players on one side are dead or a team's objective is completed. For most game modes, once a player dies, they must wait until the round ends to respawn. Players purchase weapons and equipment at the beginning of every round with money awarded based on their performance. Completing objectives or killing enemies earns the player money while negative actions, like killing a teammate or hostage, takes money away from the player. In addition, when a round ends all players receive some amount of money, with players on the winning team receiving substantially more.

Counter Strike Global Offensive adds new weapons and equipment not seen in previous installments, most notably the firebomb for each side (Molotovs for Terrorists and incendiary grenades for Counter-Terrorists). These temporarily cover a small area in fire, dealing damage to anyone passing through.

Game modes
_____________________________ _________________

Currently, Global Offensive features five game modes for online play:

Classic Casual and Competitive: Counter-Strike's most well-known game mode, both involving Defuse and Hostage missions. At the start of each round, players can purchase weapons and gear with money earned from various actions, from assisting on kills to completing objectives. For both mission types, a round ends when either a team completes an objective, or eliminates the other team.

Defuse: the Terrorists must plant a C4 explosive at one of two designated bombsites; the Counter-Terrorists must prevent the bomb from exploding.

Hostage: the Counter-Terrorists must rescue hostages from the Terrorists, and bring them to an extraction point; the Terrorists must prevent the hostages from escaping. If a Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist attempts to kill hostage, they will suffer a heavy cash penalty. An update later changed how Counter-Terrorists rescue hostages: instead of leading them around, players must carry one hostage at a time to the extraction point.

Arms Race: a deathmatch-based mode where each player is rewarded for each kill with a new weapon, with the first player to get a kill with every weapon in a predetermined set winning the game.

Demolition: a round-based mode that removes weapon and equipment purchasing, instead rewarding players who manage at least one kill by giving the next weapon in a predetermined set of weapons.

Deathmatch: a mode consisting of 10-minute matches. Players must gain the highest possible score by earning kills with different weapons or desired weapons. The number of points from a kill depend on the weapon. Players may also take advantage of bonus timers for different weapons, using them to score extra points. Like in Arms Race, players automatically respawn after getting killed, but also when they choose to respawn with bonus weapons.

Global Offensive also offers two offline modes: Offline with Bots, which offers the same game modes with AI-controlled bots; and a Weapons Course for inexperienced and veteran players alike.

Online play
_____________________________ _________________

Global Offensive supports matchmaking and leaderboards for all online game modes, provided by Steam. The provided online service offers the ability to filter by game modes, maps and a built-in Steam friend system. Valve also employs Valve Anti-Cheat, which can automatically remove and ban players from the Valve online network. To match players of similar skill levels for an enjoyable experience, the game uses an Elo rating system. The PC version of Global Offensive also supports private dedicated servers that the player may connect to through the community server menu in-game. These servers may be heavily modified and can be completely different from the base game.

alright so i've been playing bl1 a lot lately because i own it on steam and it's a fun game (even if kind of old)

i've found, however, that a lot of the cool stuff in the game is undocumented (or at least i haven't found any records of it), including two things that i found, like a cliff with broken collision in rust common west, or a way to bypass the two drawbridges in rust common east (both of which i can talk about if you guys want)

talk about cool stuff
(bl2 and bl1.5 cool stuff works too i guess)

dear sweet baby loving jesus please help me

i got to the reds/national socialists warzone with like a handful of bullets (all silenced weapons tho), there's stufftons of enemies (all of which get alerted the millisecond one dies like half a mile away in full darkness), the level is CRIMINALLY dark (i can't see stuff. i turned up my monitor brightness to max, the game's gamma to max, asnd i STILL CANT SEE) and the enemies always seem to stick together

i tried applying stealth but i can barely SEE the enemies at all let alone avoid them

someone who doesn't suck: help me not suck

Suggestions & Requests / fillprinter that works with modter
« on: December 23, 2015, 11:41:16 AM »
i've made a rather big DM map for a thing, mostly out of modter, and i've realised a bit late into it that i don't like the texture i gave the rock. i tried using the fillprinter, but it doesn't seem to work with modter? (or at all?)

so i was thinking maybe someone could update it
