Then he should have loving left and ignored the topic if it was bothering him so much. But he stayed here and got more and more delusional because we were calling him out. He wasn't some sweet tender flower that got corrupted by the evil internet bullies and coulden't handle all the "hounding" at his starfish

not everyone approaches the situation nix is in the same way you do. as ike said, he's really insecure about stuff, and you three mercilessly picking on him about it wasn't helping. sure, nix could have left at any time, but you three really need to know when to stop with the personal attacks.

but then again I don't know why we're trying to reason with people who gets their kicks off pushing around weird internet kids.

Not really. You just need to have this thing called "self control"
As in self control to not click on a topic if you know the outcome will be stuff. It's not that hard to not click on a topic.
It'd be like walking down the streets of Oakland at 1 am and wondering why I got jumped.

Just get the post blocker. It can block topics too, and I bet it would save you a lot of time

this is like trying to drama the furry megathread or the brony megathread (when it was relevant) imo

they're just a group of people goofin' and gaffin', keeping it in their own thread, and not letting the memes spill out into the other threads. though I'm not a regular there and can agree that the people there should really tone down the erp and other weird stuff to make it more open for casual discussion, the thread itself isn't inherently harmful and people can peacefully ignore it if they dislike the content (instead of, you know, barging in and causing a fuss in the topic itself)

we have garbage cans not because we like garbage, but because we need to keep it in one place.

the difference is that steve jobs's ideas were, you know, based in reality and weren't destined to either be completely impossible or fall flat in seconds
